Winter Grace reveals that aging is a process rich with joy
and blessing, not something to dread. This book surveys
the wisdom of Scripture and spiritual writers, the
contributions of science and social science, through the
eyes of this long time spiritual director, social worker and
spiritual writer. Our guide celebrates the graces of our later
years, and invites us to ask “How can I apply this to my
own life?” These later years take us “into the heart of the
central Christian paradox of death/resurrection,” and show
how losses that accompany aging can lead to
freedom and new life.
Kathleen Fischer, Ph.D., M.S.W., is the author of numerous articles and 11
books, including The Inner Rainbow: The Imagination in Christian Life and
Autumn Gospel. Professionally engaged in counseling and spiritual direction,
she lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband, Thomas Hart.
