The following Oct. 2 email came from a friend of Clear Creek monastery in Oklahoma.
Clear Creek was founded in 1999 by monks from Fontgombault, France, including several monks who were converts of John Senior at the University of Kansas.
I was asked to circulate this. I ordinarily do NOT forward advertisements, but since this land is quite near the monastery &would be great for someone who wants to join “the village” (as one of the monks calls the lay community that has grown up out there) I am sending it around.
The property in question is less than a mile (as the crow flies) from the gate at the north end of the monastery property.
Land For Sale
There is land available for sale on the west side of the road from the Michael Lawless Family (the Wagoner County side).

in the infancy of the Catholic Church, it was the monasteries that cultivated faith and culture, thus building up western civilization. It will be the same in the future. The only way to preserve our Catholic heritage is with the growth of traditional monasteries and convents where our precious faith will grow and mature for future generations, and not be contaminated with the heresy of modernism, materialism and atheism.
Father Karl I agree, it is inspiring and helpful. I wish I had money to purchase the land and I pray that a very holy person or persons will.
Why are you letting your own financial comfort stop you?
If only I was in a position to buy some of this land and build a home, I would be there in a heartbeat. What a wonderful opportunity. In the meantime, I will have to trust in the Lord that I am where he wants me at this particular time.
Pray for these holy men of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, they are a traditional order of men who adhere to Traditional Latin Mass. Their bishop is Slattery who celebrates Holy Mass ad-orientem at his Cathedral in Tulsa in the ordinary form, hoping soon to be in the extraordinary form!!
Yes Janek will do. God bless them!
We need one of these monasteries in the central valley.
God Bless them
The temptation to run to such a place is great; however God needs us to FIGHT where he has placed us!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
No matter how great the craving is to go this place…when there is no money, no mula, then there is no money, no mula.
I wish I had more fight in me, I just need to be a mum and raise my kids but unfortunately lack of money is what slows us down to move to a more conservative place.
I wonder if gas is cheaper over there? Maybe being a small town, you don’t need to drive a lot?
i like the first picture, in which the monastic dog is even joining them in prayer.
go, dogs!!!
