Lead the way for Obama to support homosexual marriage?

The Background

From OneLACatholic blog on October 15, 2008:

Tony Villar, a.k.a. Antonio Villaraigosa, the pro-abortion Catholic mayor of Los Angeles, has donated $25,000 to fight Prop 8, the Defense of Marriage initiative, reports the San Jose Mercury News.

Villaraigosa has bragged about conducting “marriages” of homosexual pairs. He is said to want to run for governor of our fair state in 2010.

Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles held an event at the Armadillo (I mean, cathedral) for Villaraigosa’s inauguration as mayor and then publicly paraded with him to his inaugural address. Pro-lifers trailed them with “You CAN’T Be Catholic and Pro-Abortion” signs.

The April 3 visit to North Carolina

From Charlotte NC Biz Journal:

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa wraps up his tour of Charlotte on Tuesday, his first visit as pending chair of the Democratic National Convention.

He held a press conference in the center’s lobby. Here are some of the topics he addressed:

– On which voting blocs will play a major role in this election: “The Latino vote is going to be important this election. As is the African-American vote, the evangelical vote, the union vote. There’s a broad cross-section of America that we want to speak to.”
– His take on North Carolina and why the convention is here: “This is a state that the president won by some 14,000 votes last election four years ago. It’s a dynamic state. …The South is a changing place. I think this is an opportunity to showcase a great state for the South, a great progressive state.”

The Petition

From WSOCTV News:

An online petition to move the Democratic National Convention out of Charlotte likely won’t have an impact.

The group Gay Marriage USA started the online petition after voters passed Amendment One on Tuesday.

The petition gained more than 20,000 supporters.

But on Thursday, the chairman of the DNC said it will stay in Charlotte.

“North Carolina is an important state. We are going to work to win the hearts, minds and votes of the voters there. We are going to go ahead with the convention in September,” said Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

The DNC will be in Charlotte Sept. 3 through Sept. 7

The Mayor’s role

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa — the chairman of the 2012 Democratic National Convention — said on Wednesday that he favors a gay marriage legalization plank in his party’s platform.

Villaraigosa publicly announced he backs the national party taking a stance on marriage equality, an issue he has long supported, at Wednesday’s Politico Playbook Breakfast. President Barack Obama doesn’t support legalization but has said his position is evolving.

During a wide-ranging interview, Politico‘s Mike Allen at one point asked the recently selected chairman, “Do you think that the Democratic national platform should have a marriage equality plank?”

“I do, I think it’s basic to who we are,” Villaraigosa said. “I believe in family values and I believe that we all ought to be able to have a family and marry if you want to. I don’t think the government should be in that business of denying people the fundamental right to marry.”

“Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles held an event at the Armadillo (I mean, cathedral) for Villaraigosa’s inauguration as mayor and then publicly paraded with him to his inaugural address.” An apostate Cardinal and an apostate Catholic mayor. Mahony just loves the baby killing, homosexual celebrating Democratic party, doesn’t he?

It is time for the bishops of our nation to band together and faithfulfully teach Catholic morals. Government leaders, who claim to be Catholic, and publically promote ideas which not only are against Catholic infallible teaching, but also against the natural law, MUST be excommunicated, and publically denounced as heretics. Our Lord said, ‘It is better that a mill stone be placed aound their necks, and thrown into the sea, than have these kind scandalize children’. For far too long, beginnning with Cardinal Cushing in Boston, the Catholic Church has kept silent and have basically sided with immoral politicans and those who want to undermine the faith. The scandalous inaction of the bishops, who are supposed to be heralds of the truth, are responsible for the lack of morality present in the Catholic laity.

This Mayor could use our prayers, what a mess from his murdering stand on abortion to his self centered lifestyle!!

As Obama had the courage to step forward and support same sex marriage the Bishops need to begin the Excommunication process with many and I dont want to hear they excommunicate themselves.

Newsweek Magazine’s cover shows Obama with a rainbow halo, and the words, “The First Gay President”. LA Mayor Villagaroso may be the city’s first gay mayor. Sure are a lot of gay politicians; could it be that they’re all in bed together … literally?

Actually, every Bishop and Cardinal that continues to feed the enormous number of apostate politically elected Catholics in this country with the Precious Body of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in an ongoing effort that confuses and confounds the faithful so as to lead the faithful to believe it is “okay” to vote for those with such evil ideologies are the very ones that are “leading the way” for Obama and Villaraigosa (a welcome speaker and guest at the LA cathedral) to not only be re-elected but to support, defend, promote, encourage and force upon this country the evil of what is commonly called same sex marriage but in reality is nothing but legalized sodomy.

Father Karl-Thank you for your post. I will be praying for you. When priests are bold and proclaim the truth these days they get attacked and I pray the Lord gives you strength to fight the good fight. I wish priests would be as bold as you and bring this message every week to Mass. I happen to attend a Parish in LA that does so and it is amazing to see the fruit coming out of such a small parish. God Bless you Father Karl.

Villaraigosa is not a Catholic! He is a Catholic HERETIC and SCISMATIC. When is Archbishop Gomez going to publically speak about the SCANDAL of this man ? ? ? When are our Bishops going to start actively promotting the reading of the CCC – which is printed in several languages. When Church leaders avoid public discussions and positions against politicians who support immoral acts they are asking for future dissention amongst Church members.

Posted Monday, May 14, 2012 9:14 AM By PETE
Abp Gomez has much work to do within his Diocese. He needs to work with people who are in this Country LEGALLY for a change, and encourage them to VOTE for moral politicians. When was the last time he publically supported reading of the CCC by all Catholics in his Diocese so they would know the truth?

Father Karl, God Bless You! I wish I knew why many US Bishops are so weak when it comes to teaching the faith, yet involve themselves in politics where they have no expertise.

Clinton great points, I would submit that it should be “Catholic ?” mayor. In some of his past statements as I recall he was not a regular practicing Catholic dissented openly with church positions. In addition to his very public indiscretions with female newscasters his documented and public ethics problems I believe show his true character. I would characterize him as a CINO Catholic in name only, he is Catholic when it is needed or convenient but selective to his own desires or interests in the application of Catholicism.

“I believe in family values and I believe that we all ought to be able to have a family and marry if you want to.” I know about the “birds and the bees” but please explain to me how how 2 women procreate to make a family…likewise, how 2 men make a baby. I missed these parts of my sex education…

From early church history, bishops, were not to cross their diocesan boundry lines to protect their hegemony. Never have I ever read about “just who governs the bishops” quite a chasam since so many of them should be thrown out of office and maybe even excommunicated. I’m sure our pope though he be holy has a problem with the status quo that is quickly ruining the church. Is the laity supposed to live under their double standards? Worse yet, they apparently are even exempt from explaining their actions while we sit here trying to decide just what is the faith by their example. Now it seems a priest in Poland is resurrecting the communist files and supposedly finding the “spy” priests and others. He even mentions the homoselxual infestation in the Vatican itself? I’m sure our pope is glad that his days aren’t that long on this earth!

Cardinal Roger Mahony honored and exalted Antonio Villaraigosa, who is a vile toady and stooge for Planned Parenthood and the other sexual revolutionaries who pay for his campaigns for public office. Villaraigosa even did robo telephone calls and radio ads for Planned Parenthood’s campaign against Parental Notification! Cardinal Mahony and the other bishops of California and their “social justice” bureaucrats were silent about that and about the California Democratic Party’s rock solid, long-term committment to promoting the “Culture of Death” and sexual libertinism in California. May Our Lord convert or replace the bishops of California with true shepherds!

Father Karl’s words are a reminder of Our Lady of Akita’s message on October 13, 1973. “The work of the devil will infiltrate even the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres, churches and altars sacked, the Church will be *full of compromise* and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.” May God continue to bless Father Karl who is courageously speaking the truth. Please pray the rosary daily for the special intention that all priests remain faithful to the service Our Lord. “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will Triumph!

Don’t forget that he also tried to divorce his wife when she found out the she had breast cancer. Please pray that he goes no further and we here in Los Angeles hear from him no more.

Father Karl is the priest who once said a Mass on “Bastile Day” in reparation while most of the “bishops” were celebrating “Bastile Day”, a day when the blood of French Catholics flowed freely in the streets of France. Long live the Vendee! Please pray for him that he finds an Ordinary that will take this highly educated priest in from the cold. He celebrates both the N.O. and the Tridentine well. Once when I openly protested Villagarosa’s presence at San Conrado Mission for a memorial to Fr. Tomas Matin, I was physically attacked by the husband of the female who organized it. I warned them ahead of time not to dishonor Fr. Tomas Matin, CMF’s memory( he built San Conrado Mission), but they refused to listen; so when the oft married, pro-abortion, pro-sodomite rose to speak, I rose up and denounced it loudly. Those who know me know I don’t need a microphone to be heard in a large crowd, thank God! The priest present were part of this scandal. God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher

Praise the Lord for the support and prayers that MD, Paula, Catherine, and Kenneth gave to Father Karl. We are few who appreciate and recognize the courage of Father Karl to stand up in defense of traditional teachings of the Catholic Church but God does not need millions, God does not need the might of a Goliath. God works in the humiliity of a handmaid; the tiny David compared to a giant Goliath; the lowly shepherd and the nothingness of St. John of the Cross. So, though we are few who supports and pray for Father Karl, I believe it is like a mustard seed, it is the beginning of a starter yeast that someday will be the instrument by which God will work His wonders and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph as she steps on the head of the serpent with her heels. I pray for Father Karl and all of you who prays for him and let us encourage others to pray the rosary daily. I agree that we need to pray for all our priests, bishops and the Magisterium that they will be enlightened in their ways and teach the laity with their good example. I believe in prayers.

Kenneth, thank you for standing up, literally, for your beliefs, even when yours was a lone voice in the wilderness. Just think, had the woman who attacked you been successful in harming you physically, and mortally wounding you, you would have known what martyrdom felt like for those sainted by virtue of their having died for the faith. A friend of mine was a priest in Kathmandu in recent years when a Muslim woman left a bomb in a pew in a paper bag that killed a 15-year-old girl and her mother during Mass. Many of us would consider it an honor to die for the faith, and most of us know that living for the faith is even harder.

Father Karl – Who is going to excommunicate the cardinals, bishops, clergy and religious who also “publically promote ideas which not only are against Catholic infallible teaching, but also against the natural law”?

Posted Monday, May 14, 2012 11:17 PM By JLS
On the contrary, Paula, the bishops do indeed have great mastery of politics … they get what they want, which is big govt money flowing through their hands.

Since Fr. Karl probably cannot answer Cody without getting in to more problems with the errant Hierarchy, I will attempt to. We His people can de-facto excommunicate them by not paying them any attention when they do and speak things that we know are not in keeping with Sacred Tradition! Besides, if we are correct in our observance of their actions, they are most probably already excommunicated where it counts the most, before the Throne of God before all his Glorious Martyrs. God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher

Cody, When a man has a distorted view of man, he ends up with a distorted view of God. Glen Beck said recently that we must pray very hard and support Pope Benedict .His Holiness is desperately trying to fix up the problems in the Catholic Church. He is naming new cardinals who are more traditional and conservative. Because of politics, very few high ranking prelates will be excommunicated, but the old guard are dying off, and hopefully the new bishops and cardinals will clean house. The Holy Spirit is guiding the Church, so let us pray fervently that Christ’s true Church may once again be holy and faithful to Her sacred mission

Father Karl, Kenneth – So are you saying that in 3 years, 3 months and 3 days from today we will be finally free in Tucson?

Cody, God knows the time time and place where it will happen. In the meantime we must pray and offer penances for ourselves and mankind. As She did once in Mexico, She can once again make it happen very quickly because She is the Mother of the Most High God! God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher

Kenneth, I agree with you. I feel good that there are a number of true Catholics who still knows their faith and live their faith. Maybe we are the minority in a very secular world but what is important is we do have a living Faith and we truly love God. As you said, we need to offer penances and prayer. I am glad you brought up about penances because in a very materialistic, technology savy world, it seems everybody wants what is easy, pleasurable and convenient. For many, there is no time for prayer much less for self-sacrifice. That is exactly what our Lady is asking, prayer and sacrifices.

Pilar, Why do you think our “bishops” are so interested in making it easier by making Holy Days of Obligation on Sundays which are always Days of Obligation? We had a beautiful celebration of Holy Thursday, today, Thursday, and the homily was outstanding. I understand that the Eastern Bishops are also not interested in making it easier, especially not in these days of more and more sin! God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher

Kenneth, human nature always leans towards what is easy and convenient and pleasureable. Bishops are human beings but if as seminarians they were trained and have learned that discipline is good in training the mind and body, like the saints, they would love what is to bring gloriy to God either in the form of liturgical celebrations or personal devotions. In whatever form we choose to praise God, it requires self-discipline. We need to follow rules and we need to apply those rules and regulations even if it is not personally convenient. Mastery of oneself requires self-discipline and if you have been in the military, discipline is one of the practice that they have to learn. In Spirit daily, I ones read that in the first 100 popes, we had 70 saints? and the last 67 Popes, we have 2. Why? The first one hundred Popes trained the priests and seminarian under their own directions. It was tough but we also have many holy and saintly priests. Today, bishops wants to be politically correct. They do not want to offend either side. Jesus asked us to be either for Him or against Him. He wants nothing to do with the lukewarn. Fidelity to God requires strong character who is not willing to compromise. In the final analysis, not to celebrate a Holiday like Asscension means another vacation for the body, one more free day. It seems priestly ministry is looked at as a job. It is a life freely chose to serve God. Like the bad angels it seems the weak priests and bishops wants to say “non-serviam”. In life, when there is love, we want to be with the beloved and serve the beloved. It seems the love for the life of serving God is gone and it has become a money making job. I pray for them to follow the narrow road and not the line of least resistance. I make the sacrifice so that they will find the beauty of the cross and bring glory to God who they vowed to obey and love.
