The following statement on pro-life comes from the website of candidate Kirk Jorgensen.
“As the father of two young boys, I understand the important responsibilities and joys of parenthood and the gift that every child is to our world. Every human life has untold value and potential. I will defend the right to life of the unborn and our elderly, and I will actively support policies that offer women non‐violent choices and opportunities when faced with a crisis pregnancy.”
The following two releases on the GOP endorsement and Congressment Hunter endorsement come from the Jorgensen website.
November 12th, 2013 San Diego, CA – Kirk Jorgensen, Republican candidate to represent California’s 52nd congressional district, released the following statement in response to the endorsement decision by the Republican Party of San Diego County Central Committee:
“I am obviously disappointed, but not at all surprised, by the committee’s decision to endorse my Republican opponent. It’s public knowledge that the Republican Party of San Diego County backed Carl DeMaio in his failed mayoral bid. And, it’s common knowledge in our community that a group of prominent insiders promised to back Carl if he stayed in the race for California’s 52nd, rather than making another attempt for mayor. The central committee’s decision is a mistake and proves once again that political insiders and our party leadership are out of touch with the voters who will ultimately decide which candidate will represent them in Washington. I intend to continue my campaign in an honorable manner to earn the trust and support of the people of the 52nd district.”
“Scott Peters has voted time and time again in support of policies that hurt the people of San Diego. We need the best possible candidate to ensure Peters is out of a job next year. I look forward to making my case to the voters in the coming weeks and months to prove that I am that candidate.”
“It’s time to end the era of political survivors. Unfortunately, in this respect, there is little difference between Scott Peters and Carl DeMaio. They are ‘political tourists’ who make a career out of traveling from election to election. No matter what their campaign rhetoric, neither candidate is truly looking to lead or fix problems that matter to voters. Running for office is what they do for a living, and it’s time for them to start hunting for another career.”
“We have no right to expect different results from Washington if we keep electing the same type of people to represent us. It’s time to send true leaders to Congress, men and women who understand real sacrifice and civic duty. I am honored to have the opportunity to earn the voters’ support.”
Why I Support Kirk Jorgensen for Congress
By Duncan L. Hunter
I support Kirk Jorgensen for Congress for a couple of reasons. First, Kirk has demonstrated great character and great integrity in service to his country. He laid it on the line for America. As a Marine Corps Officer, Kirk led combat intelligence teams that rescued our prisoners of war out of Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. Kirk’s unique leadership experience gives him a perspective and understanding of national security and foreign policy that Congress needs.
Secondly, Kirk is qualified in ways that no other Republican or Democrat in this congressional race is. This is no time for on the job training. Our country is at war. New emerging threats and concerns are on the horizon, like Iran, North Korea, and Syria. We need leaders who are qualified to make the tough decisions now—leaders who know what it is to be courageous under pressure. Kirk Jorgensen is exactly that kind of leader.
Kirk hunted war criminals—terrible people who committed genocide by killing their own citizens in Bosnia. When elected, Kirk will be the only member of Congress who has been a CIA Case Officer. These are highly trained men and women who conduct human intelligence on the front lines all around the world. Kirk, and experts like him, have gathered and provided our decision-makers and the President with the intelligence they need to make the best decisions. Not too many candidates have that kind of professional experience.
Also, Kirk has a great intellect that he has invested in others. He came home and worked as a technology and intelligence consultant. He trained cultural experts assigned to Navy SEAL Teams and began building toward our next generation of leaders. Real service is about giving it all and giving back. Kirk has done that.
And finally, Kirk is a committed family man who cares about his community. Kirk understands that the world we live in is a threatening place sometimes. Kirk wants to leave a safe and prosperous America for his children and grandchildren, and he knows how to do it. Kirk will make sure we have the forces we need and keep military jobs in San Diego County.
Kirk will be an outstanding representative in the House because he is a man of character and integrity, because he is uniquely qualified, because of his intellect, and because of his commitment to the community.
Kirk is perfect for the 52nd Congressional District, and that is why I am proud to endorse Kirk Jorgensen for the United States Congress.
Background:
The 52nd Congressional District stretches from Poway to Coronado. The district is home to many of San Diego’s iconic sites and military installations, including Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and Naval Air Station North Island.
Kirk Jorgensen is a longtime San Diego resident. He is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, who deployed to the Middle East and Europe and led teams to combat terrorism around the globe. Jorgensen’s time as an active duty Marine Officer was marked by numerous awards and honors, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Most recently, Jorgensen worked in the private sector in San Diego, helping identify technologies that increase the strength of America’s defense capabilities. Kirk, his wife, Dr. Georgine Jorgensen, and their two sons live in the Black Mountain Ranch neighborhood of San Diego.

Forget John McCain’s “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb-bomb Iran” — how about “tactically nuke Iran” instead? That’s the advice, at least, offered on Wednesday by Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter.
Speaking during an interview on C-SPAN, Hunter recommended the United States implement “tactical nuclear devices” in the event of an armed confrontation with Iran. ”I think if you have to hit Iran, you don’t put boots on the ground,” Hunter said. “You do it with tactical nuclear devices, and you set them back a decade or two or three.”
While Hunter said he “sure as hell” hopes there’s no war between the U.S. and Iran, he also disparaged the recent deal struck between the global community and Iran, saying, ”I don’t think this does anything, frankly.”
“Even if they stop a little bit short of being able to enrich to a nuclear capability, they’re still going to be building up their ballis
Good luck, Kirk Jorgensen. It is extraordinary, or perhaps not so much today, that the nominating committee backs a public homosexual candidate for congressional office. A man committed to participate, openly and without shame, in Man-on-Man sex, should never be given public office. Belief in the propriety of this offense against nature seriously affects other areas of decision-making, and of notions of natural law, conscience, and morality. One obvious example of this bundle of “disorder” is Judge Vaughn Walker, of Proposition 8 decision infamy. Mr. DeMaio is simply wired the wrong way, both as to its sexuality, and his public decision-making. The citizens of San Diego, and of this Nation, deserve someone that is “all in” regarding support of traditional morality, including the Mother-Father family structure, religious faith, fairness and honesty to women (for example, supporting a federally-funded adoption structure, and rejecting any federal money going towards abortion and contraceptive services), military strength, and American Triumphalism. Vote for Mr. Jorgensen (a strictly personal plea, with no connection to the Mr. Jorgensen or to his present campaign).
You call yourself a Christian but throw stones at someone who is different.
I grew up in a country where people like him were gassed. They say it can never happen again in a civilized society. Really? Well, we are off to a good start.
I am ashamed of you being my fellow Republican.
Thank you Karin. I’m glad there are people willing to speak out against this type of intolerance within the GOP.
I welcome the opportunity to back a candidate who truly represents my interests. I will more than consider supporting Mr. Jorgensen to represent the 52nd District. It truly confuses me, as a conservative, that the GOP committee here in San Diego would endorse a person who openly practices homosexuality. It is time to leave those people who endorse DiMaio standing in an empty hall with him. I encourage every true Republican conservative to bypass town hall meetings where Mr. DiMaio will be present. I am not interested in listening to what he has to say, so I will not waste any time going to those gatherings. We all must take the responsibility which our votes represent. They speak of our values. As long as we consider the values that we hold dear, and do not compromise, we will have lots of Mr. Jorgensens to send to DC. “Do you homework” is what I am constantly encouraging. Read everything a prospective candidate has written, and check resources twice. Lets move forward, not tread water.
In my travels I have discovered many fine ex-military and reserve military persons running for public office. If only our people will listen to their God and vote in men and women who place duty to God first, we will have a new future!
May God have mercy on an amoral Amerika!
Viva Cristo Rey!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
