11 California Planned Parenthood centers have CLOSED until further notice due to the Coronavirus. Staff indicate this may last until at least the end of April.
Meanwhile, California has over 90 Planned Parenthood abortion centers still open.
CLOSED Planned Parenthood centers include: City Heights in San Diego, Corona, Eagle Rock in Los Angeles, Manteca, Modesto, Planned Parenthood Basics in Lakewood, South San Francisco, Visalia, West Oakland, the Wohlford Clinic in San Francisco, and Woodland.

The “silver lining” of the biggest threat to human life seen in a century? Tell that to all the people who’ve died from the Wuhan virus and who have lost loved ones to it, both already and the virus deaths that will explode over the next four weeks. Tell that to all the people who will be financially ruined as a result of the social shutdown. Tell that to all the churches whose staff will be let go because offertory has dried up. Again, you’re politicizing this severe pandemic and treating it like it’s a social case of the sniffles and people should just look on the bright side of all this. Shame.
The full idiom is “behind every dark cloud is a silver lining.” A dark cloud well describes these times.
Anonymous I believe it is you who are “politicizing” this by underestimating the violence of abortion and the deaths of not just the babies who are dismembered to death but the possible mother’s loss of their souls who are exploited by this violence and death. How many children have died in this past century…trillions of abortions, unrepeatable human life killed around the world compared to maybe a half a million in this pandemic. Thank God that there is some good coming out of this and lives are being saved.
Well one silver lining seems to be that it brought a new wave of chastity and more sober behavior, at least for now. There is an article on line how Madre Gras has led to a lot of the virus in New Orleans
The Madre Gras was stopped in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara County) many years ago because people, who were coming from all over the country, got so drunk and stoned that businesses were destroyed and a statue of St. Joseph was smashed outside the cathedral. People who actually went to church were told at some Masses not to take part in it, and priests were told not to be even seen there. There are always people who will ruin a good thing, then complain when they have to live with the results.
The Anonymous post today at 11:09 am was mine — Anne TE. Another silver lining is that the traffic congestion and road rage has gone down and people killed in auto accidents lessened. Before this I hated to drive because people were hitting cars on the freeway and even in parking lots and leaving the scene all the time.
Anonymous,
Are you happy that Planned Parenthood in San Jose is still open and that children are dying and their mothers being violated in the same county with mounting COVID-19 fatalities?
I regret the loss of all human life. Yet, a reduction in the number of persons dying is better than an increase. Tragically, in Santa Clara County we’re experiencing an increase in the number of people dying, due to both COVID-19 and abortion. The death of each of those persons should be mourned. And, we should rejoice with each of those persons who survive. Life is a gift.
Hey Anonymous,
Abortion is not “politics”. It’s killing innocent human life – in staggering numbers every year. Way more deaths of little children murdered daily by so-called doctors than the deaths this virus will even come close to causing. This article is not, as you say, treating the pandemic “like a case of the sniffles.” Hardly. It is simply saying that as bad as it is with the pandemic, one of the actual good things caused by it is that some abortion mills are closed and thus many innocent human lives are saved from the horror of being slaughtered in their mothers wombs. Let’s hope & pray all abortion mills close now, and stay closed. They should be closed since abortion is hardly an “essential service.”
