Additional observations  Corpus Christi is a parish in the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings in Montana, which encompasses the eastern two-thirds of the state.  The famous Jesuit Father Pierre-Jean DeSmet was among the first to evangelize the region; he celebrated the first Mass in Montana at Three Forks in 1840.  The Flathead Indians of the area were particularly receptive to the Catholic faith.  European settlers came to the area in the 1850s.  Today, Jeffrey Fleming serves as bishop of Great Falls-Billings.
