Additional observations Corpus Christi is the Diocese of Colorado Springs’ second parish, established in 1916. The current church was constructed in 1956. This is a traditional parish, pro-life, pro-family with reverent liturgies and orthodox homilies.

The Diocese of Colorado Springs has twenty seminarians, of which ten men (half) are from families in this parish. That tells you something. The happy clappy Boomer OCP “Breaking Bread” parishes have sent no men from their communities to seminary.
Amen!
Glorious. God bless ’em all.
God bless Corpus Christi Catholic Church for the ten seminarians from the parish. Their families must be doing something right.
We visited this parish while traveling (coincidental given the title of the post) on the recommendation of our daughter who travels to the Springs frequently on business. What can you say about a parish where there is a baby in every single pew? I know I shouldn’t have been, but I looked while going up the Communion line. Reverent liturgy for sure. Ideal family environment. If there was a parish like this within an hour of my home, I would make the drive without hesitation. Our retirement goal is to find a parish like this one and move there –If Colorado hadn’t gone nuts in the last decade, this one would be a top ten for sure. We loved it that much.
I am familiar with this parish. Not recommended. They violate the GIRM with their architecture and the way they celebrate Mass. The Springs is awaiting a new bishop. If that bishop has proper liturgical sense, he will order this parish to reinstall the freestanding altar they removed to install a high altar against the wall and stop celebrating Mass ad orientem.
