The following comes from a May 9 posting on the Capitol Alert section of the Sacramento Bee website.
Two bills aimed at eliminating obstacles transgender people face cleared the Assembly along party lines on Thursday, including one that will allow students to select the bathroom and sports team that correlates with their gender identity.
Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco, said his Assembly Bill 1266 will force school districts to be in compliance with current laws that prohibit discrimination against transgender students.
“No student can learn if they feel they have to hide who they are at school or if they are singled out for unequal treatment,” Ammiano said.
AB 1266 passed 45-24, with many Republicans voting against it.
“I do not believe that by allowing individuals of opposite sex to use the same restrooms makes any sense at all and I think the vast majority of Californians deeply oppose this,” said Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks.
The lower house also passed Assembly Bill 1121 by Assemblywoman Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, to make it easier for transgender people to change the name and gender listed on their birth certificate. That bill passed 55-16.
Both bills will now head to the Senate.

God made woman and men different FOR A REASON……………….
And this is DEFINATLEY N O T IT !!!!!
With this law, the authorities will not be able to jail all the people who decide to urinate behind a tree or in an elevator simply for privacy.
California your NUTS and heading to HELL!!!
So Christian teachers can be fired and Christian students disciplined for refusing to abet neurotic fixations among school kids. So a little girl has to use a bathroom with a little boy if the little boy thinks he’s “different”, oh and suit up with him in a the girls’ locker room if he wants to play on her team. All this at the whim of a kid.
Thank God I teach in Catholic schools. California public education has become a moral pit.
That may or may not happen but I can tell you this, is that there are gay activist parents who will use their kids just to prove a point.
Those poor innocent children. Caught up in the ugly sinfulness of their elders in charge of them. How can I look Christ in the face and explain all these things…for there is no excuse but mercifully I don’t have to answer for them….they will have to answer to God personally….we just have to remember to remain faithful, holy, loving and loyal to Christ.
Jesus show us what it truly means to die…I know you did with your passion but in these modern times, it is taken for granted and since you are perfect, I know you have a plan to reach us all in our own level of these modern day understanding, we know it is perfect because your truths are never compromised but they are come to us at our own level…only you know what truly works….USE US LORD and give us the courage the strength to persevere with fortitude. Even in our own personal life….little ways or big ways, you be the one to call ….you know what is best.
Tom,
Be on the alert, so called Catholic schools are not far behind!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE DEMONCRATS WHO VOTED FOR THIS NUTSO LEGISLATION. PERHAPS THIS WILL BE THE STRAW THAT BREAKS THE DEMONCRAT MAJORITY AND RELEGATES THEM TO THE FATE THAT BEFELL THE OLD WHIG PARTY; THEY VANISHED INTO THE FOG OF OBLIVION. AND DON’T LET THE DOOR SLAMMING THEIR COLLECTIVE FANNIES ON TTHE WAY OUT IMPEDE THEIR EXIT! GOOD RIDDANCE! HOPEFULLY THE CITIZENRY OF CALIFORNIA WILL NOW FINALLY COME TO THEIR SENSES AND PUT PEOPLE INTO POLITICAL OFFICE WITH JUDEO-CHRISTIAN VALUES AND A SENSE OF CIVILIZATION, FINALLY ASSIGNING THIS MORAL RELATIVIST MIASMA ENVELOPING US TO HELL WHERE IT BELONGS. VIVA CRISTO REY! AND GOD BLESS EVERY ONE, MARKRITE
sigh……the liberal dems think this is a good thing. I’m not hearing any “outrage” among parents. we live in the “belly of the beast” here in the Bay Area……so PC, such lunacy abounds.
Sorry to disappoint you all, but this ridiculous bill passed because most of the people in this once great State support it. We are in the minority now, like it or not. I can’t believe that my privacy is being invaded when I use a public restroom but this is the way these idiots want it.
This was done against the will of the people. Many, many calls were made before against this legislation, and it did not go through, but the wing nuts just keep pushing and pushing til they get it through on the sly. Most people know this will lead to chaos in the schools.
Anne T you are right…how many times do they ignore our will….but how many times are people not informed either? Again this needs to be said…we are out gunned once again…we need to form a stronger unity when it comes to fighting off these stupid abuses.
If a student is really born with a deformity that needs to be corrected, that student should have to present a legitimate doctor’s excuse for using a bathroom of the opposite sex, but children born with ambigous sex organs should not be forced to have corrective operations until they are old enought to decide on their own as teens or adults what is best for them. If something goes wrong they will blame their parents or the doctors.
Anne T they have us NOW even entertaining the thought…that is how they are winning….God have mercy!
I should clarify something in my last post. Actually I should have written that if a student who is born with a sexual deformity, they should be allowed to use the restroom of the gender closer to theirs, instead of having written the restroom of the opposite sex since they have some body parts of both sexes. These conditions are rare, nevertheless, so a child who just “considers” him or herself a member of the opposite sex should not be allowed in an opposite sex restroom. I notice many stores here in California now have more single person restrooms that lock. This is probably to protect people against these insane laws. They are large enough, though, for a mother or father to take their child into one with them.
Ladies – do not go into any public women’s rest room in the State of CA alone.
You do not know who will be lurking there, especially since the State allows anyone (male or female) to enter at will with zero consequences.
markrite is correct.
This is the fault of the VOTERS of CA who put these nuts in office.
When will voters wake up and educate themselves prior to voting !
More and more places are having dual gender/unisex restrooms, i.e., there are no longer restrooms dedicated only to males or only to females.
They, of course, have locking doors.
Public modesty shall be preserved! Hialeah.
Jim I am disgusted….so are you approving the dual unisex bathrooms? Gross!
Modesty and chastity go hand in hand…one must also be chaste in their thinking as well…it;s not about appearance only!
abeca, they are single bathrooms. You only go in one at a time. Like at your house.
Anony anony what can I say but how do you know that I have single bathrooms, what makes you think that I don’t have one for a female and a male? Something you’ll just have to wonder about. Just kidding….
I’m speaking about the multi bathroom public places….I don’t want a confused man in there should I happen to be out and want to use the ladies bathroom. gross! Well on a serious side, I am not very happy with these stupid laws that are in place. God have mercy! They have lost common decency!
The California bishops are supporting a ban on guns but nary a word about all this real craziness around us. Guns don’t kill — amoral people do. Where is the credibility??
That’s true Peggy, I agree with you : )
CREDIBILITY?
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
Oscar,
The first time something like what you described above happens, and it will, I hope the victims sue the hell out of the State so called legislators.
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
Congratulations to all California voters for putting wing-nuts like Ammiano into elective office. In fact, there are many like him there, or such loony legislation would not be passed. And, oh yes, where are the CA bishops when this kind of thing is even being debated? Meeting to develop a new position paper on the international economy, or evils of capitalism, or whether to make the “designated hitter” rule uniform throughout baseball? No? Well there are sure to be Catholic-based awards in store for Mr. Bathroom Ammiano down the road. As Bugs Bunny used to say, “What a maroon”!
CA Bishops have not done their job well within their own Diocese based upon the way ‘Catholics’ vote, and based upon the fact that they do not encourage reading of the Bible and the CCC. Their first and primary responsibility is catechesis of those within their own Diocese.
Until they have proven that their own Diocese is in order, they should not run for any Office in the Bishop’s CA Catholic Conference or the USCCB.
No one is going to follow a Bishop who’s own Diocese is a joke or do not teach the CCC completely.
Part of the reason that CA is in debt is because the Bishops have never taught the Church teaching on Commutative Justice – which requires paying debts.
As a whole (there are a few exceptions) they should be given a grade of D- regarding their own obligations.
Meanwhile most Catholics in CA adhere to Relativism and Secularism – because the Bishops have not been doing their own jobs.
St. Christopher you can blame the unions for that too, they support these kind of weirdo’s. They push them and the youth who are raised by the state without morals are prey to these agenda’s. The blind leading the blind I suppose….but these blind idiots are wicked!
I live in California, San Diego…I didn’t vote for these idiots….for some reason we are out gunned for now….but God will show them different some day. But for now, we must endure….God have mercy!
I am reminded of children described as spoiled brats. They unconsciously seek and desire discipline and accountability but are continually indulged. As they are indulged their behavior becomes more and more bizarre. The Governor, as head of the house, so to speak, also refuses to discipline his wayward children. Who will set limits on these errant children? They are bullies, using the legislature to beat up morally and ethically, the children of others.
Citizens are urged to report the bullies that the parents won’t discipline. Will you. dear public, come to the aid of those innocents about to be terrorized by the new breed of bully?
I noticed Ammiano has an earring…and I bet my eye-teeth he wasn’t a swabby, who was on a sinking ship (this was how men in England identified sailors, who survived a sinking). Garden variety, libtard, modernist…what else should be expected from this man…is he from the Castro District?
A GRADE OF “D”, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO “F”!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
I do not think this has passed the state senate yet, so call your state senators against this law. What on earth is “unequal” about making a boy child use a boy’s restroom or a girl child use a girl’s restroom. None at all. Teachers and instructional assistants often have to call into the boys restrooms or get a male teacher or aide to go into the boys restroom to get them to stop climbing the stalls, throwing water as each other, etc. Such legislation will only add to the chaos. I think all boys restrooms should have nothing but stalls for privacy like the girls’s. Nevertheless, if boys are allowed in the girl’s restrooms, they will be climbing the stalls more and more. This piece of legislation is just insane. Some are deliberately trying to destroy public schools and dumb down the students. That is all I can say about this.
A reasonable exception to strict rules, is that a man or woman should be allowed to go into an opposite sex restroom in an “emergencey” — other one is being used or cleaned and the person is in dire need — if it is a single restroom that locks. That is only what we used to call “common sense”, though.
Anne T.
Common sense has long been a lost quality in Sadcramento!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
Congratulations to the California Assembly that they’ve solved all the major problems such as abortion, unemployment, over-taxation, illegal immigration and all the other evils that were once so rampant in your state and they now have the luxury to address all these little insignificant problems that are really of greater importance anyway. Yes, they certainly have the wants and concerns of their constituents first and foremost and are proving yet again that Californians get if not what they deserve or at least what they voted for…now it’s on to disallowing male only football teams, non co-ed showers, and all the other unfair and unjust abuses that society once deemed normal.
I think many school children will wait until they return home to use the bathroom, bladder infections, anyone? This is frightening even to an adult. Why do we continue re-electing these pervert politicians to Sacramento? In my opinion, people who enact these laws are perverts.
Sarah,
Have you ever heard of gerrymandered Districts?
Viva Cristo Rey!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
Great idea! The next time I attend an opera or a symphony I’ll be able to avoid the longest line during the intermission.
You are making fun of people with sincere issues in their life, for which they deal with people every day of their lives.
They were at least seven to ten men around one women’s restroom in a Bart Station years ago when I tried to use it. A man was crossing dressing in there because he was dressed as a man when I turned the door handle and afterward he opened it. He must of assumed I was one of his “customers” because he told me to come in. He then shut the door and a few minutes later came out as a provocatively dressed woman in short shorts and next to nothing blouse. The men outside left with him. I have never been back to S.F. except for one ball game with my husband, but not since then. If that is what you call “making fun of people”, please preach it to someone else.
I should clarify that the man WAS fully dressed when he opened the door, but it WAS evident he was a man.
This was meant in reply to YFC.
It is too bad that people on here seem to believe that they have every right to judge people based upon such a trivial thing as to what they are wearing. Jesus taught us nothing if he didn’t teach us to look beyond the externals and into the depths of a person’s soul.
Yeah YFC and these people souls are corrupted..long live judgment
“Long live judgment’ as long as it is about everyone else, right Canisius? As for me, I’m trembling in my shoes and am practicing saying “Lord, have mercy on me a sinner”. “Lord, have mercy on me a sinner”.
Oh! Pleeese, YRC. The man was clearly plying his “trade”. If you believe he was not, I have five bridges I would like to sell you. Remember you are not writing to someone born yesterday.
The man also had on spiked heels with his short shorts and halter top. Walking around in less than warm San Francisco in clothing such as that with a bunch of men surrounding you certainly does not give a good impression, whether one is a real female or not.
And for this you condemn a soul, Anne? Because he was in spiked heels? I mean really, do you think Jesus cares about spikes versus flats?
YFC, It was quite obvious that he was a male prostitute. No one is condemning anyone because no one can. Only God can do that. I am condemning his behavior, though, and saying that it is not one that God approves. I am sorry that the homosexual man you mentioned was murdered, but heterosexuals are murdered every day too. Condemning bad behavior does not cause murders. The only thing that can be done is to go after the murderers and punish them so they do not murder anyone else. I do not believe in so called “hate” crimes as most all murders are “hate” crimes. People do not kill someone else because they “love” them. I believe a murderer should be charged with first or second degree murder if that is what they did and punished appropriately. If someone murders several people of the same race because of hatred, they should be charged with that many counts of murder. The same with torture, etc. They should be charged with what they did not why they did it in most cases. If someone tortures and murders someone because they want their money, because of their race, because they hate their parents and want their inheritance or becuase of their sexual orientation and so forth, it is all the same to the dead victims. Calling specific crimes “hate” crimes only helps to keep political parties in power and are really useless, tying up our court system, etc. We have enough laws on the books now; we don’t need to pile on any more. In fact we should get rid of some of them.
Actually, it was one of the Annons who mentioned the murdered homosexual man, not YFC, but I gave my condolences and opinion nevertheless. That is if he was truly murdered. We never know until all the facts come forth. Anyone’s death is sad nonetheless. Especially if they were not right with God at the time. I am not making a judgment about the state of the victim’s conscience, nevertheless, as only God can know that.
Anne T. So the guy has a bullet wound in his head. How do you suppose it got there if not for murder?
But more imporatantly you miss ALL The points that were offerred here. The murder was not raised as a defense of the Hate Crimes Act, though it certainly could have. It was meant to defend the notion of HOMOPHOBIA. There aren’t people running around with guns shooting straight people because they are straight. This murder picked this victim because he hated ALL gay people. Therefore, it gay-hating, that is to say, homophobic.
I’m sure you’ll respond denying that the murderer hated all gay people, so I’ll leave my defense of hate crimes to my response of your response :)
Quite easily if the man who shot him was protecting himself from bodily harm of any kind. I have not heard or read the news story yet. Just call me Doubting Thomas because I never believe anything someone says until I know both sides of the story, and I will get the whole story from different news sources, thank you. I do not need your interpretation.
By the way, there are plenty of homosexuals who have raped and murdered heterosexuals. Is that a “hate” crime? I think it surely is.
AnneT, google the latest statistics of male sexual attacks on males in the military for 2012. It’s incredible…and they want to force homosexuality on the Boy Scouts?!
The military used to be a great place for immature men and women to mature and learn responsibility after high school. Now who would want their children signing up?
Dana, sad to say, there will probably be more “friendly fire” now with bodies hidden, and our government even less transparent. If one man tries to rape another and he shoots him, then someone will surely yell, “hate crime or homophobia” whatever that means. You got me. If Sandusky’s crimes against the boys were not “hate” crimes, I do not know what is.
As far as I know, Anne T., there are no cases from the last year or so where a gay person raped a straight person, except for Joe Sandusky. That was clearly horrific abuse for which he deserves a very harsh sentence. But he didn’t do that because he hated all straight people.
Even fewer, if any, gay people murder a straight person because they are straight. There was the case a decade or so ago of a serial killer who was also a prostitute, who, if we believe the Hollywood version, took out her anti-male attitudes against her male clients. I suppose that could qualify as a hate crime.
But there are hundreds of times more hate crimes committed against gay people than against Christian people. Hate crimes against Muslims and Jews are also higher than against Christians.
Your Fellow, you need to google Jihad Watch by a Greek Melkite Catholic deacon or priest or the Coptic Christian websites. Your Fellow, because you have no idea what your are talking about. Muslims took Greece and Turkey by the sword at one time, after they took over Northern Africa by the sword from peaceful Jews, Christians and others. The Greeks finally kicked them out. They massacred the Armenian Christians in their own country, so many Armenians had to flee to other countries. Muslims fought their way up into Europe. They took Christian boys as slaves and forced them to fight against their own Christian people. They still practice slavery in parts of Africa and rape women. They tried to take over areas such as Transylvania, except they found Valad Dracul was as cruel as they were, so they left his country alone. As far as homosexuals, in an area of California a priest was recently caught forcing his way into a dressing room in a store so he could rape a young boy. People followed him, called the police and had him thrown in jail All I can say Your Fellow is that your statistics are full of it.
If you want to live in a country with Sharia Law, where a man can have his hand cut off just for stealing, you are welcome to do so but count me out.
No I don’t want to live in a country where Sharia Law replaces civil law. I ALSO don’t want to live in a country where Canon Law replaces civil law.
Quite simply put, Your Fellow, the FBI stats on hate crimes is larger because they do not put homosexual crimes on heterosexuals under “hate” crimes although they really, really are. You can call that “cooking the stats” as far as I am concerned.
Also, Your Fellow, if you yourself do not want to live under Canon Law, then you are not really a practicing Catholic. That is what the people on here have been trying to tell you. You have the freedom to leave, but do not call yourself a practicing Catholic because you are not.
Just look at how many of those rapes of young boys by Sandusky and others that were not included under “hate” crimes and should have been. They are quite simply “cooking the stats”. As I said before, most all crime is “hate” crime.
Anne, my stats were restricted to the US, where we have uniform reporting to the FBI on these things. In the United States, according to the FBI, hate crimes against gay people for being gay are hundreds of times more frequent than hate crimes against Christians or catholics for being christians.
I don’t dispute that Christians ARE persecuted all around the world, not the least of which is Iraq, which used to be a fairly tolerant country but has become impossible for Christians to live. My own mother in law was a refugee from Communist China because of her faith.
And I would never make the claim that a few gay people don’t sometimes commit sex crimes like rape. Indeed some do. Just as some straight people do. They should be condemned, prosecuted, and punished.
But IN THE UNITED STATES, anti-gay hate crimes such as the ones that have been happening in New York City happen all the time.
Mother in law? Are you married?
Thank you, K, for catching that one I did not. So he has a “mother-in-law” supposedly. Either he was or is married to a woman or is not as chaste as he says and thinks he was or is “married” to a man.
Or out and out lying about all of it.
That’s a lie!
That’s a lie!! replying to Your not Fellow Catholic from comments on
May 23, 2013 at 8:20 am
Correction: Vlad Dracul.
Gay mind set: Gays always victims, Christians always criminals… than I am a proud criminal
How adsorb! Which jesus are you using to pretend he is the Jesus. Spike heals….how stupid is that …state what you want but don’t bring in our Lord in that way!
“Plying his trade”….LOL!…that’s my line…
I meant YFC not YRC.
My fellow, what we wear is just an extension of who we are inside and it matters very much. One of the few cultural universals that is found in every culture on earth, is that men/women adorn their bodies in someway. Not even climactic conditions are found to matter in all situations because there were found some natives in Tierra del Fuego that wore no clothes, but merely oiled their naked bodies even though the temperature got really cold! But they did use ornamentation! It says more than anyone realizes that in a wealthy culture like ours, people are becoming more and more pagan, relying on ornamentation such as tatooing and scarring and not on complex and symbolic clothes such as uniforms and formal wear and other garb signifying special occasions and celebrations. The fact few wear their very best clothes to attend church for example, is always defended by saying “God doesn’t care what we wear when we come to church. At least we’re there!” Or you even hear “Well, there are many people who can’t afford to dress up and we don’t want them to feel out of place”. Even poorest of the poor in ages past always managed to at least be clean and modestly dressed to attend church, weddings etc. And I doubt there is anyone that can’t get help in finding suitable clothes for Mass if they were interested. No, what we’re seeing is the spirit of rebellion against civilization and order, always the last gasp of any democracy. We’re supposed to be a republic ruled by law, but that’s being undermined by nihilists and rebels who don’t want any authority telling them they must conform. If Jesus didn’t judge by externals, then why did He wear the beautiful seamless garment that many think Mary wove for Him. He could have just worn rags and told her that it was wrong to focus on externals. I know, He said “Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.’ Now, if you really think about that, he didn’t say “Look at beets and corn…it doesn’t matter how you look”…no, He said the lillies were as beautiful as Solomon’s splendor. The key word is BEAUTY. Just don’t make clothing an idol.
Great post, Dana.
Dana, I meant this for your post at 9:30 AM.
Anne T you are preaching to the choir…and God bless you but you have indecent people who hold no common decency nor do they know how to fear the Lord here. They won’t admit it either.
“There are none so blind as those who have eyes, but will not see; and those who have ears, but will not hear” Holy Scripture.
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
Anne T, I’m sorry I addressed my last post to you rather than to Anna…the compliment was intended for you.
No Fellow Catholic – its a two way street. If men use the women’s rest rooms, what makes you think women will not use the mens?
I don;t have a problem with that Dottie. Really, I don’t. I shared a bathroom with my sisters while I was growing up. It didn’t suddenly become something to mock when I left home.
YFC these “people” deserved to be mocked and shunned…..
No, Canisius, these people do not deserve to be mocked, they deserve to be treated with the dignity and respect that any Child of God deserves.
No everyone is a child of God, many have renounced Him and become children of the Prince of Darkness, like the freaks in this story. Destroy Tolerance
So called Your Fellow Catholic,
The serious issues are called MORTAL SIN! I know you must have heard of that sometime in your upbringing!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
In my office, there are mostly women. Some of the women use the men’s room when they want extra privacy as the men’s room is smaller and has a lock. That doesn’t bother me. It’s nice to share.
Mark there is nothing wrong in using any restroom when one in is dire need as I posted above as long as it is a single toilet bathroom and locks. That is not what this legislation is all about.
Also, Mark there is nothing wrong with women using men’s restrooms or men using women’s restrooms when the theirs is being cleaned as long as only men or only women go into the stalls, and there is someone outside keeping the other sex out for awhile and explaining the situation until those inside are finished. Most all of us have had to do that at times. Such situations are common courtesy and common sense.
A lot of public restrooms are used in the wee hours, when there are not many people around to protect the innocent from the perverted govt officials who may be prowling around seeking the ruin of virtue.
Anne T.,
Do you really think PA doesn’t know that?
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
Kenneth, I certainly think he does, but since some are busy calling us names and making us out to be crazies, it is nice to let other good people know that we are talking about using “common sense” here, which is not so common any more.
share what? STD”s
What a pathetically inane comment PA… from the church of nice….ugh
Another example of the CA Legislature as completely out of touch with the public at large.
Time to change to a part time State Legislature with 500 members in the Assembly and 100 in the Senate, that meets only the first four months of the year….the rest of the time they would have a “real” job in their district. Community volunteers would be serving part time, not career politicians.
Let’s do it!
Common decency has declined over the years but it died when society pushed homosexual lifestyles!
Fortunately, Abeca, homophobia is also dieing as more and more people understand that it is a learned behavior that can be eliminated with the proper dose of love and compassion.
Anonymous: No more than opposition to abortion will die. Common decency is a learned behavior, too, but one based on God’s law, not corruption. And don’t kid about “elimination”. Anyone who studied Stalin’s Russia know what that means.
Anony anony there is not such thing as homophobia, if there where than you just called Jesus that name……
Your comment just proved my point…you are part of the defect…the part of no common decency and that is why you replied as you did….using that stupid word homophobia….
TO ALL GOD FEARING PEOPLE Lets wear it proudly!
back then The wicked Nazis made the Jews wear a star…..today the wicked label decent people as homophobic.
“homo”=man, “fobia”=fear. All one has to do is pick up the paper or watch the MSM to know that there is a good deal to fear from this politician’s lobby!
Abeca, wear it as a sign of God’s will in your lives.
Viva Cristo Rey!
God bless, yours in Their Hearts,
Kenneth M. Fisher
I thought I was your anony. You are cozying up to every anonymous poster now. I feel so…used.
Please try telling that to the mother of the 32 year old man who was killed – chased out of a fast food restaurant and gunned down by a man yelling anti-gay things — THIS MORNING — on the streets of the West Village. I dare you to try telling his mother that there is no such thing as homophobia.
That great evil deed has nothing to do with the made up word homophobia. Please refrain from promoting more gay agenda here…it’s too sick especially on a Catholic website…
Anonymous, there is no such thing as homophobia, which you mistake for the vengeance of God.
dying: present tense/continuous as in ‘he is dying of a strange malady’/dyeing: present tense/continuous as in ‘she is dyeing her tee shirt’
No such word as dieing.
Oh the flesh….what fleshly desires is mankind attached to? The flesh with it’s disorders and self satisfactory elements. Oh flesh how I desire it to suffer and to die of it self, to be lead to the truth. Oh how easy it is for many to just satisfy the fleshly desires, how disastrous. But like any sickness, we must bring to it the real healing that it truly deserves and truly heals, Jesus is that remedy. How hungry we are and how mislead some are…how can we not feel sorrow for these sufferings, Jesus brings us to know His mercy and true Love.
As for me and my prayers are that we follow Jesus….not always easy that is for sure but it is something we truly seek because we love Jesus and He deserves the best in us….and what did Jesus command us to do “love thy enemies” well those that are hard to love at times, means that we do not help them to walk away from a Christ honoring love. The enemies are those who keep spreading the work of the devil, whether they know it or not, whatever spiritual blindness they may have, we pray to Saint Michael the Archangel to break that bondage, that spiritual blindness and to help them bond again with our Lord.
Dana, “dieing” is early middle English for “dying”. Try to prove this to be incorrect.
Well, the last I heard, skai, Middle English went out with the Black Death and actually there was no such thing as misspelling until Dr. Johnson. Prithee tell me whenst twer the last occasion did thoust wryt dieing? (And I know it ain’t in the tongue of Chaucer. heh heh)I do apologize to anonymous ,though, for being such a pedant as I think it’s very rude to correct people’s grammar unless they’re your students or your children. I wuz beein contrerrree!
While you all were pursuing your grammar history lesson, a human being was shot in the West Village while his attacker shouted anti-gay remarks. THAT is homophobia, whether you want to acknowledge it or not. Anonymous is right when A says that you should dare to ask his mother whether homophobia exists.
I am not homophobic which is a word used to bully people into accepting the PERVERTED sexual lifestyle of some. I am anti- mortal sin.
A kind relative has same-sex attraction. I love him dearly. He is a good person who proscribes to chastity. He has helped others proscribe to chastity who have same-sex attraction.
He does not support same-sex marriage (sodomy), gay parades that support sexual activity, etc.
He does not support cross dressing or mutilation of sexual organs either.
Everyone with SSA is not evil; and do not try to force others to accept a sinful lifestyle. Unfortunately the percentage of evil SSA persons is growing.
Then ANNA be thankful to our Lord that He chose well, God’s graces he embraced. Therefore he is not part of the homosexual agenda crowd, he may suffer with certain temptations but chose not to embrace….just like the rest of us sinners who choose to stay clear away from our flaws that lead to immoral sin.
You are preaching to the choir ANNA, we know that not all that suffer with SSA’s are evil because not all embrace those sins or push them but they are very small in number and not speaking up or preaching their success at staying away from those downfalls for various reasons.
But the sinful ugly indecent agenda driven crowd are growing…bringing more down to their own destruction. That is why we need to keep praying….lift up our prayers to our Almighty God…our ABBA Lord….LETS call Wicked that is wicked, call good that is good but lets not water down TRUTH! IT is in Truth that we will truly be free.
It’s fortunate indeed, Anne, that you’re not a ‘homophobe’ because to be one you’d have to suffer such palpitations and angst! The phony word was probably coined by the homosexual=philes and is improperly used to signify morbidly homosexual-hating individuals when homo-phobia simply means morbid fear of men or apes, which I would think would be pretty rare, wouldn’t you? Homo is the genus of great apes that includes modern humans and species closely related to them. If they want to say homo-sexual-phobes, that might be somewhat more precise, but it’s still really way off . But then, they also choose to call themselves ‘gay’ which is another abuse of the English language. It comes as no surprise that the words people choose have tremendous significance. Jesus is ‘The Word” and called the universe into being…in the beginning was the WORD. Words matter. You always write such nice posts Anne, and no one could ever accuse you of hating anyone!! One reason that homosexuals have been winning this war on society is they’ve been successful (with the help of the atheist wordsmiths in Hollywood and left-winged journalists) in hijacking the language…a ruse that satan has mastered for centuries…like the age of barbarism called ‘The Age of Reason’ and ‘The Enlightenment’. Oh, the irony! I NEVER, EVER use the term gay to describe homosexuality. It’s like profanity because it such a lovely word. Look how the barbarians are even twisting one of the most loving, beautiful words, Mother, to become something horrible , spewed out by a street thug.
Bravo Dana…impressive comments…good job! Love it love it! Yes it’s true what you say….but in reality we are faced with the word “gay” not meaning anymore what our elders once told us that it use to mean, I even recall watching some old classical movies (on the classic channel) that used that word gay, how funny….it really seemed crazy, even my kids would say mum wow did you hear that, the used gay. Yea it use to mean happy but not anymore…so I refuse to use that word like it use to be because we have to speak today’s language as well to understand what are the real issues here are.
In my house we have lots of teenagers hanging out here because of my kids friends and their friends love to hang out here and eat here, ride bikes, play sports….I prefer they hang here than have my kids go to their hang out spots because I don’t know what they be tempted to try so I tolerate a house full of their friends….plus a lot of their parents don’t even supervise so since I do, well they are better off here…sure keeps me busy. Times have changed, these kids are exposed to so much and I feel for their innocence…even their parents who are suppose to parent, just aren’t.
Thank you, Abeca! (hugs) I have been keeping you and your family in prayer every day because you’re building a Cathedral and need our support for such an important work…forming young hearts and minds in the image of Christ. I remember hearing a story about two friends who remained close even though one married and had children and the other was a successful businesswoman who traveled all over the world and had a brilliant career. Her friend felt like such a failure because she was a homemaker and not successful in the eyes of the world until she read the an inscription in a book on the Cathedrals of Europe her friend had purchased for her on a recent trip to Europe. ‘To my dear friend, though you may not see these places dedicated to God, you are building a Cathedral of your own .” I’m reading an excellent book I think you’d love, “My Sisters the Saints” by Colleen Carroll Campbell. She’s about your age and has wonderful insights into the joy of being mentored by our wonderful Catholic women saints to counteract the pernicious influence of contemporary feminism. She has ‘spiritual friendships’ with Teresa of Avila, Therese of Lisieux, Faustina, Edith Stein and Mary of Nazareth. Anyway, you’re such a blessing to so many of us Abeca and what you’re doing for those young people has such far reaching influences in ways you’ll never know. My parents were like that and often kids came not just to play, but to eat, as some of them had no food at home. One friend, who died recently, said if it hadn’t been for my parents, she would never have known what a normal family was. Her parents were both alcoholics. Anyway, God bless you!
I met her once at a conference, and she’s so down to earth.
Oops. The last sentence was about Mrs. Campbell. I need an editor! (a private joke as I was one for a couple of years. My eyes would cross at all the typos, misplaced modifiers, split infinitives, et al so often that it must have somehow messed up my brain)
Thank you Dana, I’ll look up that book. : ) Thank you for your encouraging words and prayers….I really appreciate them. : )
Dana, I see your point about the word “homophobia.” What is a better word that you would use to describe people that hate homosexual persons? You say that you don’t use the word “gay” to describe homosexual persons but this is the word commonly use for these people. Using a loving, beautiful word to describe people who are our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters is not a bad thing. We are talking about human beings not something horrible, spewed out by a street thug.
What is a better word for people who hate Christians for having faith based convictions?????
The word “gay” is not a loving word…..what do you call people who are defiant and hate what our Lord preached about homosexual sins and any sinful choices?
Abeca Christian, I have read the 4 gospels many times over and I don’t remember Our Lord preaching anything against homosexual persons. What gospel was that in?
PA Our Lord did not preach against bestiality either, does that means He approves of it????
Mark from PA – we should use correct verbiage, not something to distort or disguise. Not something to cause harm, or to make something wonderful that is not.
Homosexual, same-sex attraction, are accurate.
Heterosexual is accurate.
You are living in the past. Most of the hate today in the USA is on the part of radical homosexuals, who want to force their lifestyle on the rest of society.
That is indeed a really interesting poser, Mark. Hmm. I agree about not calling people dehumanizing words…and I detest acronyms like SSA, IRS, the AFof L/ CIO, et al. It really gets confusing and the acronyms become words themselves, which is crazy. And racist is really not accurate either and has become so overused it has lost its power. How about plain old bigot? But, before you call all of us here bigots, please remember that no one here (except Canisius, bless his little old hatin’ heart) hates homosexuals but the ACT of engaging in what God holds to be an abomination, just as we hate adultery between heterosexuals, which isn’t discussed nearly enough here because adultery is a despicable sin involving deceit and pride, as well as promiscuity and is destroying families everywhere, whether through pornography use, having affairs or just discontent in an otherwise good marriage. But, unfortunately Christians are now being attacked for being bigots because we believe that certain behaviors are sinful as opposed to a secular culture that believes that nothing is right or wrong and if it feels good do it. Blame it on the cult of Friedrich Nietzsche, who for some reason has captured the intelligensia’s (and Hitler’s) slavish adoration for the past one hundred years and more. He challenged the whole foundation on which Christianity was formed and claimed we should live for today that we’re all going to die anyway (in a nutshell, haha) He ended up in a madhouse for the last ten years of his life. Can you imagine Christ having any credibility if he’d ended up going insane from syphlis? As for ‘your fellow…’ saying a homosexual was killed, I haven’t heard him express even one word of regret that even as I write this, literally thousands of Catholics are being tortured and murdered simply because they’re Christians! Check out Jihad Watch if you don’t believe me…they keep track as much as they can. Read what is happening in Nigeria and other countries in Africa where churches are bombed every week! The problem as I see it, Mark, is not that people hate homosexuals so much as there are people who hate, period and they kill their own babies in their womb because they’re inconvenient, or their own parents to get the insurance money or people in theaters with guns simply because they could do it. It all comes down to one person really. Satan never sleeps and he’s prince of this world. Without the God we’re so vulnerable and it should be primary to you and your samesexfriends to tell them about Jesus and His loving mercy and forgiveness. If you don’t tell them who will, Mark?
Yes, Dana, it is awful how Christians are treated in some places in the world. I still think it is awful that US didn’t really do anything to help the Christians in Iraq. I have read that many are leaving because in some parts of Iraq, Christians are not safe anymore. I didn’t know that church bombings were as common as you say.
PA in one region of Nigeria 50 out 52 Catholic parishes were destroyed by the Islamic radicalsBoko Haram. Perhaps if you stopped worrying about the rights of sodomites you would notice how people really suffer for the Faith. This suffering is real unlike your imagined oppression of gays…
Thank you, Dana. I have always said that common sense went out in the sixties, but I surely would like it to come back. Ha! Ha!
Yes indeed, Anne! As Chesterton said, common sense is not that common!
Just look at this twisted individual. Railing at a lectern with a pierced ear…stumping for sodomites and gender-bender’s…this is another revolting example of liberal’s contaminating the precious gene pool.
” liberal’s contaminating the precious gene pool”: Li’l Mike, don’t you know that gene pools are not dominant over free will? You probably also believe that Catholics are born Catholic, don’t you.
Sorry, but your posts sound really phony ‘miguelito’…as though they were a parody of what a liberal thinks is the Catholic mindset. I don’t believe this is an authentic post, but an impersonator…the ‘precious gene pool’ is something a Darwinist espouses. No Catholic would ever write something so crass or inhumane.
Homosexuality is a grave perversion…not the ideation of homosexuality, mind you…the actual act of men “buggering” other men…this is filth…sexual depravity of the highest order…
Give the histronics a rest, little michael. Ideation, indeed. What a bizarre post.
Methinks you protest too strongly…reaction formation much?
Methinks you’re having a bit of fun trying to hoodwink the rest of us, (wink, wink) but there’s no harm in trying. ‘Ware the wary, weary sojourner, brothers and sisters in Christ.
A bundle of collective genetic material is the formula that creates the “gene pool”…this is a biological fact and certainty…As a devout Roman Catholic… this scientific reality does nothing to conflict with my belief system…the “gene pool” is a scientific reality as conchiolin and aragonite are the essential substances that fuse to create ‘mother-pf-pearl”…
Gender reassignment is a messy business…and a satanic one at that…
Well, Anne, you showed much Christian forbearance!
It’s times like those when you need a few tracts by Mother Angelica in your pocket to hand around…it’s only fair! If they can carry on like that in a public place the least we can do is offer them Christian charity for their edification.;0)
I knew a woman who used to wear white cotton dresses and high-heeled wedge sandals…all this was to highlight her bronzed shapely legs and hips…she had spectacular golden limbs…even her delicate hands were a dimpled work of art…a masterpiece if you will…often she pulled her jet black, curly shock of hair back in a pony-tail…she knew she was glamorous and men pined for her… what with her huge dark cow eyes…and radiant glistening smile, she was the very pearl of pulchritude!…yet she never cam off as overtly sexual…even then she was modest…and I always had custody of my eyes…even when gazing on this dark-skinned goddess from mumbai…
Miguelito Loveless, it is all right for a woman to make herself attractive for her husband or future husband while dating as long as it is not overdone for the situation and place. It is also all right for a man or woman to admire a beautiful or handsome person as long as they do not let their mind stray too far. That can get them into trouble.
That is correct Anne T. Women need to be feminine and men should learn to keep custody of their own eyes. I agree.
Vlad is seen as a hero and has a folklore like status among the Rumanian’s who live in, or near Tragoiste, (if memory serves me)… he terrified the Turkish Sultan Mehmet. he successfully ambushed Turks, in their camps along the Danube and butchered them wholesale…he enjoyed driving a spike or pinion into their cranium in order to permanently paste their helmet onto their head!…His colorful history is awash in grue and gore…but he defended Christianity against the islamic horde…and many say he actually converted to Catholicism…leaving the schismatic Orthodox faith he was originally baptized in…fact
It was Vlad III who suppostedly became Catholic, a descendant of Vlad the Impaler. I am sure both the friends of Vlad the Impaler and his enemies exaggerated somewhat his cruelty, either to make him feared by his enemies or hated to get sympathy for their side.
I should not have called Ammiano a wingnut in the beginning, and I should have told Canisius and others not to name call either. Nevertheless, Assemblyman Ammiano’s legislation is way over the line and so is the legislation for so-called same-sex marriages.
Why was the part in one of YFC’s post taken out? The one where he said he had a mother-in-law. K, saw it and do did I. Now it is not there. I think it was in his post at 8:20 am on May 23rd. Taking it out made what K and I wrote sound as if we were “seeing” things, but we were not.
My last post was meant to be posted at the very end. After K and my other posts. Sorry for the misplacement.
