RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Understands employee business and technical needs and leads development of resource-efficient network solutions that meet those
needs. Integrates business and technical considerations in developing solutions. Strategizes backup solutions for business continuity
and disaster recovery.
• Manages system design and implementation maintaining data integrity. Coordinates and manages efforts of ITS staff, vendors,
employees, and others. Ensures timely, effective design and implementation of network hardware and software in line with
technology trends.
• Sets technical standards and policies for desktop/network hardware and software, and monitors compliance with those standards.
Leads research & design efforts; designs network computing solutions; consults on network applications and cross platform systems
designs.
• Ensures resolution of desktop and network problems of complex scope, to return equipment to functionality as quickly as possible.
Analyzes and troubleshoots problems and manages solutions.
• Interacts with Office Directors understanding the use of technology in their ministry and provide guidance, direction, and training for
utilizing that technology. Communicate with vendors and find appropriate solutions while maintaining a responsible stewardship of
diocesan assets.
• Oversees ongoing system capacity planning, management, and maintenance. Maintains continued functionality of hardware and
software, and proactively addresses potential future problem areas to minimize disruptions.
