Position Summary:

The Pastoral Associate is a generalist serving in an important parish leadership position. The Pastoral Associate assists the pastor in the daily operations of the parish. This involves collaboration with the pastor and parish staff in the overall pastoral care of the parish. This may include the direct coordination of one or more specific ministries, e.g. sacramental planning, educational formation, pastoral ministry, and/or parish administration. The Pastoral Associate supports and promotes collaboration among parishes within the cluster and district as well as with the community.

Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

Focus work in two areas: LITURGY and CATECHETICAL PROGRAM
Direct the parish worship programs (English and Spanish), including the planning of liturgical seasons, sacramental celebrations and the liturgical calendar in collaboration with the Music Directors.
Coordinate all persons involved in liturgical ministries; presiders, lectors, special ministers of the Eucharist, servers, musicians, sacristans, ushers,
Provide leadership and assistance to coordinate the work of the liturgy teams and committee and its various
Oversee the aesthetic décor and cleanliness of the worship space, the provision of sacred vessels and vestments, the maintenance of an effective sound system, the purchase of missals, homily helps and other
In conjunction with the Pastor and the Catechetical Program committee develops religious education curricula for that reflects the pastoral vision of the Parish
Develop a strategy for the theological formation for parents of religious education students, RCIA, Young Adult Groups, and Parish Groups
Work with PASTOR and staff to develop a Pastoral Plan for the parish
Attend Pastoral and Staff meetings
Develop a Ministerial Enrichment Program in consultation with t
