Residential Technician / Evening Shift – North County, Carlsbad
Under the supervision of the Operation’s Supervisor, the Residential Technician provides a range of services to the Participants of La Posada de Guadalupe program.
RESIDENTIAL TECHNICIAN FUNCTIONS
Supervise program Participants.
Explain policies and procedures to new Participants and ensure compliance.
Conduct walk-in intakes.
Assign sleeping quarters and distribute bedding and personal care items to participants.
Maintain daily logs and reports for management.
Prepare daily Breakfast or weekend meals.
Inspect and maintain premises, ensuring safe and sanitary environment.
Take attendance daily and maintain log.
Maintain knowledge of agency policies and procedures as they relate to the Residential Technician.
Maintain communications with Operation Manager and or Director on a regular basis, to provide input on service delivery and address concerns from program participants.
Meet weekly with operations manager to assess performance issues and assure the needs of the participants are met.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability and willingness to operate program equipment. Sensitivity to the needs of low-income homeless men.
Desired: one year experience in a homeless men's shelter. Must possess excellent customer service and active listening skills. Bicultural preferred. (Spanish speaking)
Schedule: FULL-TIME, 40 Hours, Flexible schedule depending on shift. Includes weekend work.
Salary: $13.00 per hour
