The following came in an email today, Aug. 7 from a Cal Catholic reader.

Planned Parenthood will again be holding an event at the California Museum at 1020 O Street, Sacramento, CA  95814 in the California Secretary of State and Archives Building at 5:30 PM to honor newly appointed Speaker of the California Assembly, Toni Atkins and President Pro Tem of the Senate Elect (to replace Darrell Steinberg) Kevin de Leon for their “long standing support of Planned Parenthood and Women’s Reproductive Rights.”

NOTE: Toni Atkins was the manager of an abortion clinic in San Diego and has since risen to be the Speaker of the California Assembly.

NOTE: Kevin de Leon will soon become the President Pro Tem of the California Senate to succeed Darrell Steinberg who is termed out of office this year.

NOTE:  The California Museum site is owned by the State of California.

Many of you demonstrated at this location on Wednesday evening, June 18, to oppose a Planned Parenthood “Spring” fundraiser for Planned Parenthood’s Federal Political Action Committee.

Even though this is short notice, please try to come to remonstrate and side-walk counsel at this event this evening:

When:   Tuesday, August 12,  5:00 to 6:30 PM

Where:  The sidewalk around the California Museum at 1020 O Street (corner of 10th and O Sts. two blocks south of the State Capitol)  in Sacramento.

What:   Bring signs, strollers, video cameras, musical instruments, etc.

Who:    You and pro-life friends and families.

Please pass this URGENT Alert on to your pro-life network as SOON AS POSSIBLE!
