You have so many requirements of the people in your life to be called a “friend”, that I doubt that you have any.

“You will never find someone as pure as you.” Not among active gays, he won’t. I think that’s his point. What you intend as an insult is rather a compliment about his high standards and desire for virtuous friendships. He doesn’t want a hangout buddy.

As soon as I see gay in a movie or TV show I turn it off. It happened with the series “La Brea”. Seemed interesting at first, but when a gay male couple (mixed races for extra diversity points) was introduced about twenty minutes into the pilot episode, I turned it off. I don’t drink Budweiser products either.

I worked in Catholic schools for two decades. For part of that time I taught at Mitty. It took me about fifteen years and four different schools to realize that most Catholic schools are frauds and will never improve.

Don’t go – and don’t apologize for making a moral stand. Marriage is between one man and one woman and until very recent days, everyone knew this. They’ll get over it – or not – but you will have done the right thing by God’s law.

People will have in mind the New York Times photo of Fr. James Martin blessing a gay married couple holding hands, and they will consider you a benighted bigot for not going to a gay wedding. Thanks for that, Fr. Martin. You’re really helping the church a lot. If there were ever a bridge that should be burned, it’s Jimmy Martin’s rainbow bridge to queerland.

Pope St. Pius X was criticized for going too far, being almost over-reactionary to the Modernists. But the poor pope was right. There was not much that he could do about it, really, in the end. Modernism invaded everything.

Totally agree. Spot on! I’ll take it one step further: I won’t even attend the wedding of two thespians. But that’s just me.

I am glad that Cardinal Zen is making this statement. I am also glad that even though Fiducia Supplicans has created questions and confusion if a gay or lesbian or transsexual or some other “couple” who are not free to marry heterosexuals, I can bless them individually and challenge them to follow the will of God in their lives and not their own “self will”.

Clerics of McElroy’s vintage and ideological camp can live in their isolated bubbles because their futures are completely secure. It matters not one whit that their biases, narratives and agendas will lead directly to the collapse of Catholicism

I thought it was Catholicism that “should play a central role at modern-day Catholic universities”. Apparently I was mistaken…

Teach her modesty and chastity and you won’t have to face the problem. If she doesn’t listen, you can give the child up to adoption.
