Father Cameron Faller, vocations director of the San Francisco archdiocese, gave an eight-minute homily at Star of the Sea parish in San Francisco on April 19, Divine Mercy Sunday. Father Faller held up a copy of the Divine Mercy painting while commenting on it.
(At 3.06) He is describing Christ’s visit to the room where the apostles were hiding after the crucifixion:
“When Christ comes into that room, He doesn’t come in condemning them. One would expect He would come in wagging His finger, ‘I told you guys you were going to drop the ball, you were going to abandon me.’ He could have come in with a hand of revenge. ‘I want you to feel a little bit of the pain I felt on the cross.’ ”
Isn’t the new Divine Mercy image the same one from the Sacred Heart image?
When one clicks on the blue link Fr. Faller’s homily does not come up but the Mass of another priest. It has been that way since it was posted.
Thanks! Fixed now.
Thank you. It was a great homily given by Fr. Faller.
Afterward, a video entitled “Divina Misericordia: A Holy Hour for the World in Crisis” with Fr. Anthony Pillari popped up. It looked wonderful too, and hopefully I can google it tomorrow, or some other convenient time, and do that holy hour with him.
