The following comes from an October 16 LifeSiteNews article by John-Henry Westen and Pete Baklinski:
Archbishop Blase Cupich of Chicago — who is participating in the Synod of the Family at Pope Francis’ personal invitation — said at a press scrum in the Vatican press office [yesterday] afternoon that the conscience is “inviolable” and that he believes divorced and remarried couples could be permitted to receive the sacraments, if they have “come to a decision” to do so “in good conscience” – theological reasoning that he indicated in response to a follow-up question would also apply to gay couples.
During the lengthy press briefing, the archbishop also spoke approvingly of the so-called “Kasper Proposal,” which would permit divorced and remarried Catholics to receive Communion in some cases. Cupich explained that he had distributed Cardinal Walter Kasper’s book, The Gospel of the Family, in which the cardinal had laid out this proposal, to all of the priests in his diocese.
“In Chicago I visit regularly with people who feel marginalized: the elderly, the divorced and remarried, gay and lesbian individuals and also couples. I think that we really need to get to know what their life is like if we’re going to accompany them,” he said.
When asked to give a concrete example of how he would accompany the divorced and remarried in their desire to receive the sacraments, Cupich replied: “If people come to a decision in good conscience then our job is to help them move forward and to respect that. The conscience is inviolable and we have to respect that when they make decisions, and I’ve always done that.”
When asked by LifeSiteNews if the notion of accompanying people to “the Sacrament” who had a clear indication of conscience to do so also applied to gay couples in the Church, Cupich indicated an affirmative answer.
“I think that gay people are human beings too and they have a conscience. And my role as a pastor is to help them to discern what the will of God is by looking at the objective moral teaching of the Church and yet, at the same time, helping them through a period of discernment to understand what God is calling them to at that point,” he said. “It’s for everybody. I think that we have to make sure that we don’t pigeonhole one group as though they are not part of the human family, as though there’s a different set of rules for them. That would be a big mistake.”
Anyone still wonder what is meant by “the Smoke of Satan in the Church”?
You are right kristin. These bishops and bad will priests are not obeying Jesus. What did Jesus want out of us? It is to be holy. These fake leaders in our church are not holy nor are they preaching what the word of God is saying in regard to these sins and they are misrepresenting what our church has always taught. They need conviction! From holy scriptures and what the doctors of the church actually taught. They need the word of God to convict their hearts to help them comprehend and live the word of God. Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ And i add its ignorance of His church.
i’d be pretty worried about the conscience of a bishop who ordered his clergy and seminarians to stay away from pro-life events. even if consciences are inviolable, they can still make very bad, fatal decisions. look at adam and eve when they decidid to go against the moral limits set upon them by direct revelation.
Did he really? That’s terrible! I guess he doesn’t care about the “inviolable conscience” of his priests all that much, if he bans them from that good work and witness.
Abp Blasé Cupich is a HERETIC – using Church definition – CCC # 2089.
Regarding reception of receiving HOLY COMMUNION worthily – – –
SACRED SCRIPTURE: 1 Cor 11:27-30.
DOCTRINE of the FAITH: CCC # 1415, 1451, 1355.
For a Sin to be MORTAL: CCC # 1859, & 1791.
DOCTRINE:
CCC: ” 1783 Conscience MUST be informed and moral judgment enlightened.
A well-formed conscience is upright and truthful.
It formulates its judgments according to reason, in conformity with the true good willed by the wisdom of the Creator.
The education of conscience is indispensable for human beings who are subjected to negative influences and tempted by sin to prefer their own judgment and to reject authoritative teachings. “
Thank you MIKE. God bless you. You convey what many are lacking, they are not reading the actual teachings of the CCC and holy scriptures. As long as they continue with this false compassion, there will be more divorces, more of down play of morals. People need to be taught the consequences of sin and be held personally responsible for what happens due to choosing to sin. Priests need to be holy and learn the holy word of God, learn the CCC and what our saints have taught. God help us as we go through these trials in our church. Perhaps the end times are nearing, who knows, only our good Lord knows but no matter what, we are called to be holy, faithful etc.
Abeca, I COMPLETELY AGREE we must be taught the consequences of sin. Such as how the sin of looking the other way as so called Christians humiliated and socially abused single mothers and called children of unwed mothers bastards. How ignoring these sins led the general public to therefore accept the great wrong of abortion, b/c Satan twisted the wrongs inflicted on single mothers and children born out of wedlock to justify even greater evil.
JonJ im not understanding what your conveying to me. You agree with me yet the rest of your reply? I hope your not being sarcastic. I understand that our church also protect women and children in situations that are not fault of their own. The church is Just and we see our Lord’s justice when an annulment is truly required. You used the word bastard when describing an innocent child caught in such situations, for the record, i would never describe an innocent child as such a name, children are a gift regardless of the circumstance. Im sorry i didnt understand your reply to me. Im trying to be charitable by not insinuating anything. Pax Christi. Pie Jesu.
Exactly Mile. The term ” in good conscience” requires a properly formed conscience.
This wayward Archbishop needs to be corrected and, if necessary, disciplined before he infects his flock with his heterodox opinions.
DOCTRINE:
CCC: ” 1791 This ignorance can often be imputed to personal responsibility.
This is the case when a man takes little trouble to find out what is true and good, or when CONSCIENCE is by degrees almost BLINDED through the HABIT of committing sin.
In such cases, the person is culpable for the evil he commits.”
Cupich is a liar.
The ‘rules’ in the Catholic Church are the SAME for everyone.
NO ONE is being singled out, or treated differently.
No one can receive HOLY COMMUNION while choosing to CONTINUE COMMITTING ANY Mortal Sin. –
This includes but is not limited to the Mortal Sins of: ADULTERY; HOMOSEXUAL ACTS; FORNICATION.
Or by those even in the Religious life who endorse this life style should receive our lord. These people are trying to redefine mercy. Think of how Abortion was looked at 75 years ago. The shock factor was unbearable, to now it is being called choice. The moral compos of this world, or should I say lack of morals is declining at a pace unthinkable including from those in the religious life. Shame on you Bishop Cupich !!!
So Blasé Cupich wants Everyone who chooses to live in Mortal Sin to receive Holy Communion.
(Otherwise we will be discriminating of course.)
Might as well take the Blessed Sacrament – Body and Blood of our Lord – throw it on the floor, and step on it.
Sacrilege and total disrespect.
Cupich is the face of the New “Catholic” church that has no faith in Christ, that worships man and in which there is no sin except to be faithful to the teachings of the true Catholic Church that flourished in the time before the 2nd Vatican Council.
Based upon his own public words / actions, Cupich does not believe in the true teachings of the Church.
He does not adhere to either Sacred Scripture or the CCC. And he is probably hoping that most Catholics have not read them either – so they will follow him to Hell.
And therefore apparently Cupich does NOT believe in the REAL PRESENCE in the Eucharist. To him it makes no difference if someone chooses to continue committing Mortal Sin.
Cupich isn’t laying out any new pathway. He’s just making a public statement about the approach of washing one’s hands of duty and begging the question, “What is Truth?” while Truth stands before him, silently taking the heaped on abuse.
Right, there is nothing new in what he proposes. It is the same old appeal to subjective conscience that has been rejected by the Church over and over. Where has that man been?
“…I think that we have to make sure that we don’t pigeonhole one group as though they are not part of the human family, as though there’s a different set of rules for them. That would be a big mistake.”
And that is precisely the mistake you are making +Cupich in pretending that adultery and sodomy are sins apart from others. As if those who commit these sins are somehow beneath the dignity of being educated in truth and aided in their “journey” of corresponding with grace.
And what will the children see? Oh, don’t mind them, Janie, they’re different. They don’t think it’s sinful, so it’s okay. Hmmmm. A smart Janie will learn a very fast and hard lesson and so will the Church. But then with teaching the Faith off the…
…. to do list, I guess it’s all great. Time for the potluck and photo ops with baby killers! But then Pelosi has already defined that as sacred ground and I don’t see anybody correcting her.
But hey, at least we’re not discussing the tone of schism. That would be very, very bad.
How long Oh, Lord!
“But hey, at least we’re not discussing the tone of schism.”
Excellent posts Ann Malley!
Italian Archbishop Invites SSPX Priest to Offer Bimonthly Mass for His Faithful

Methinks the approach is to get everyone into the pool and let ’em duke it out. After all, Christ promised the Holy Ghost to the Church so, in essence, it would appear His ministers are just abdicating all authority because it’s really “His” problem. Leave the “mess” to the next guy as long as I can pull out of any perception of conflict and basque in the press of being everybody’s pal.
Kind of like the current parenting model that’s been working so well.
Funny how the news article you just linked and similar stories, to include the prudent pre-Synod admonishments of Bishop Athanasius Schneider never made it into print here. But then chancery eyes are watching!
‘indicated an affirmative answer’ is highly subjective. What did the good Archbishop do and/or say? To paraphrase, perception is in the eyes and ears of the observer.
Receiving Holy Communion while choosing to continue a Mortally Sinful lifestyle is an additional MORTAL SIN of SACRILEGE.
He’s following Satan, not Christ.
’12 Quotes Against Sodomy That Every Catholic Should Know ‘
# 8. Saint Peter Damian (1007-1072)
Doctor of the Church, cardinal and a great reformer of the clergy, Saint Peter Damian wrote his famous Book of Gomorrah against the inroads made by homosexuality among the clergy. He describes not only the iniquity of homosexuality, but also its psychological and moral consequences:
“Truly, this vice is never to be compared with any other vice because it surpasses the enormity of all vices.… It defiles everything, stains everything, pollutes everything. And as for itself, it permits nothing pure, nothing clean, nothing other than filth.”

CCC: ” 2285 Scandal takes on a particular gravity by reason of the authority of those who cause it or the weakness of those who are scandalized.
It prompted our Lord to utter this curse: “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
Scandal is grave when given by those who by nature or office are obliged to teach and educate others.
Jesus reproaches the scribes and Pharisees on this account: he likens them to wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Use a Catholic Bible and also the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, second edition” (aka CCC, of 1997) for truth of what the Catholic Church teaches.
In the USA, the CCC has a dark green cover.

Once again everybody this is just another Vatican II “man” there should be no surprise about anything this Modernist says or does. When he was the Bishop of Rapid City South Dakota he locked out the parishioners of the local Latin Mass community for Easter, he is an ardent hater of the TLM, he surrounds himself with altar girls and women all over his “worship stage” in Chicago, we Roman Catholics call it the sanctuary and altar of sacrifice the Novus Ordonarians call it a “stage”. Remember he was an appointee of the current pope in Rome, do you understand now??
I would also like to add that there were those during V2 council that wanted the transubstantiation remove from the mass. And now here we are, those in the synod council wanting to give communion to those living in mortal sin, sounds like we’re back in V2 with the thought process from the synod sodomites.
I think it’s past time for Cupich to head over to the Anglican church rather than trying to change the Catholic Church.
Remember these Novus Ordonarian bishops just like the Liberal Democrats only want to be “liked” and get the votes of illegal aliens. There is a saying that the floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of erring priests and monks, and bishops as their lamp posts, so says St. John Chrysostom Homily III Acts 1:12.2 My friends just because Cupich is a bishop does not make everything he says or does correct! He is uttlerly wrong and in the end like us will have to answer to Jesus Christ, I fear for my soul and admit Iam a sinner these Novus Ordonarians do not fear the Lord, their master is Satan.
If any Catholics from Chicago read this – please know that your Diocese Bishop is a heretic.
Read a Catholic Bible, and the CCC which contains the Doctrine of the Faith.
You can not depend on a heretic to teach you the Faith accurately or completely.
How much longer can the Holy Roman Catholic Church endure these heresies? The day this Argentine Jesuit stepped out onto the loggia in St. Peters square and quickly removed the traditional stole put on him by Guido Marini I knew right then and there the end was near for Holy Mother Church. Why did our great Holy Father Pope Benedict the XVI resign so quickly? He did say the WOLVES were after him in the Vatican, we may never know the truth. I do believe the Holy Ghost will send us a savior and return the Church to its glory, His Grace Cardinal Burke did say he will RESIST and so must we!!! The Devil will not prevail as Our Lord Jesus Christ promised!!
Janek schism is the only answer, if Francis tries to push through his agenda, he must be declared and anti-Pope and he can take all the liberal clerics with him. A new conclave will be called, and new Pope elected
Canisius,
To declare that Pope Francis is an anti-Pope, one must show that he was not validly elected.
That is not correct, Seitz: Bellarmine (the cardinal, saint, and doctor of the Church) stated that a pope who lapses into formal heresy is deprived of office by his own act.
“The Pope who is a manifest heretic ceases by himself to be Pope and head, just as in the same way he ceases to be a Christian and a member of the body of the Church; and for this reason he can be judged and punished by the Church”. -Concerning the Roman Pontiff, De Romano Pontifice, Liber 2.
You might want to apply this doctrine of Bellarmine to our illustrious archbishop and soon-to-be cardinal of Chicago.
no if he is seen as violating doctrine and becoming a manifest heretic, he can be declared an anti-pope and a new conclave called …
That is not correct. He could be pressured to resign but if he does not resign, he is the Pope. There is no legal mechanism in the Church for anybody in the Church to declare the Pope an anti-pope and call for a new conclave.
Your argument is with St. Robert Bellarmine, who intellectually grasped and foresaw all that is afflicting the Catholic Church. He very likely was aware of St. Francis’ prophecy regarding a future church. And Bellarmine wins that argument.
AB Cupich is very bad news. He doesn’t understand the role of conscience in the Church. The Church does not make moral teaching from exceptions of conscience. In the very rare case when exceptions do occur, people must always be mindful not to give scandal to others.
The article also makes no comment about the need for the conscience to be well-formed. In this era, well-formed consciences are more and more difficult to find.
“….In this era, well-formed consciences are more and more difficult to find.”
That is by design, friend. Make no mistake. Clerics didn’t forget to preach and teach. At least those with horns are putting them on now for all to see instead of keeping them hidden to wheedle support from those who would otherwise be scandalized by their heresy.
Steve Seitz, good comment.
The Church treats everyone the same without exception.
No one can receive Holy Communion while in the state of Mortal Sin.
Cupich wants to make exceptions for those continuing to have a sexual relationship with the valid spouse of another, and for those of the same sex having sexual relationships. Why should these people get these exceptions while others in the state of Mortal Sin will not ? ? ? ? ?

Possibly the most powerful conference dealing with the LGBT agenda ever held in the U.S. will take place on October 26 in Salt Lake City. Homosexuality in all its aspects is the topic of the inaugural Stand4Truth Conference.
A comprehensive conference for the public that explains truthfully and thoroughly the issues of homosexuality in terms of science, therapy, the law, the media and religion. This is the conference that much of America has been waiting for!

Powerful pro-family conference on “Understanding Homosexuality – the politically incorrect truth.”
https://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen2/15d/Stand4Truth-conference/index.html
“Politically correct” public policies and court decisions — in combination with the pro-“gay” mainstream media and educational system — are forming public opinion without conveying the facts.
Propaganda is silencing and distorting the truth: the truth about psychology and medical science, the truth about religious tenets and their scriptural foundations, the truth about constitutional law, and the truth about real people of all ages whose lives have been physically, emotionally, and spiritually damaged by homosexuality.
The impact of the normalization of…
Why is anyone surprised?
It is an old tradition that has yet to be broken and that is “heretical clerics do heretical things”.
The “laity” will save the Church not the Bishops or the priests, now that ‘s what I call “ACTIVE PARTICIPATION” the Novus Ordonarians love that phrase when they have their cookie and koolaide service at their “dinner table” in the middle.
Janek, sometimes to get a rise out of people it is easy to step over the line of propriety. To refer to the consecrated elements of the Eucharist as cookie and koolaid is a bit on the side of heretical, don’t you agree. To refer to the Altar as the dinner table isn’t great either, is it. Each form of the Mass is valid and of the worth and grace.
This is blasphemy.
I wonder if the Fathers of Vatican II can last much longer, with their crazy, liberal design, for their “new,” 1960’s-style Church?? Ecumenism, “religious freedom,” individual “liberty, equality, and fraternity,” for all– clergy, nuns, and laymen– no more “nasty,” paternal, “authoritarian”-style supervision, with use of
Church doctrine and the Code of Canon Law– no more responsibility!!— and the emphasis of religious worship, now on silly “humanism,” not on “mean” ol’ God!!! How long can all this NONSENSE last??
I know that Cupich, Kasper, and many other immature, immoral Churchmen, must think they are just the “big bad wolf,” for being called to ADULT ROLES OF MATURITY AND RESPONSIBILITY, in the Church!! They NEVER GREW UP TO BE REAL MEN, WITH REAL RESPONSIBILITY!! BIG BABIES!! They all would have made just TERRIBLE, SPINELESS, IRRESPONSIBLE husbands and fathers, too, if they had never all become priests!
I need to call attention to something.
I write a polite reply to Linda Maria’s posts, agreeing with her real concern with what some Synod Fathers are espousing.
I also suggest that she stop ad hominem, malicious and unsupportable PERSONAL attacks on Synod Fathers with which she and I both disagree. I call for more light
(discussion of the issues) and less heat (personal attacks on Synod Fathers—-in accordance with this site’s published guidelines.
Twice the “Moderator” has removed my post.
I will defer to their judgement if I try to post something and they decide not to run it. Sometimes it may read differently than we intended.
But I do wonder why they have so many posts that break their rules.
My post, above, was censored. The censor omitted a question that asked for the rationale for deleting a polite post, but not cutting a word from one person’s 5, 6 or 7 vituperative personal attacks against Synod Fathers. See if this post gets through.
These bishops were formed as seminarians and priests during the post Vatican II era where opinion was presented as doctrine, and the faith and clear expression of doctrine were not taught or valued as in previous time. They now have authority, promote their ideas rather than the truth of the church, and promote others who think like them to the episcopacy, and as in Pope Francis’ case, to this synod. Regarding those “alienated from the church”, Fr. Murray has a good take in this article:
https://www.thecatholicthing.org/2015/10/15/what-alienates-people-from-the-church/
Well said Father Rich! Your reference to Father Murray’s article also succinctly clarifies that it is SIN that alienates. Boy if I were an elderly person, I would take great umbrage with how Cupich threw them into the same lot with people “feeling marginalized” while choosing to live in mortal sin!
Father Perozich— thanks much for providing a link to a very lucid and valuable article.
No one should be surprised by this (Cupich, “If your conscience says it’s OK, it’s OK..”)
There is a false church emerging within the True Church, even supplanting it, and a time for decision is at hand (Gr. “thlipsis”, tribulation, as in a trial: ex. “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33).
At Lepanto in 1571, the priests at the Mass prior to battle preached on one theme: “There is no heaven for cowards.” No more going along, its-all-right, be happy It is a time for decision and to speak out (and be punished for it: it goes hand-in-hand: no guts, no glory) on which church one wishes to belong…
..belong to: we all saw this coming (“Who am I to judge?”; All atheists go to heaven; Fr. Charamsa of the Gregorian and his fiancée).
No heaven for cowards.
I am so “done” with arguing quibbling points with people who act and think in bad faith, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel (“Cupich didn’t say that, nyah, nyah, nyah”). Go, follow your false church, follow it where it will take you.
Achbishop Cupich did not say “If your conscience says it’s OK, it’s OK.”
Does Archbishop Cupich know he has responsibility to focus on
the nurturing and development of informed consciences of his charges
in Chicago?
The headline is wrong. Archbishop Cupich did not lay out a pathway for gay couples to receive communion.
He said : And my role as a pastor is to help them to discern what the will of God is by looking at the objective moral teaching of the Church and yet, at the same time, helping them through a period of discernment to understand what God is calling them to at that point,”
How can anybody interpret that as a pathway to receive communion? I would say it is the opposite. He is not saying it is OK for gay couples to receive communion. but it is not OK to just tell people “no admittance” and have them not understand why.
Correct.
The headline was written by someone who hyperventilates when they see gay person. Hyperventilation is a disorder!
YFC, because of your Sodomite beliefs, you’re not thinking clearly. I must repeat myself. There are certain body parts created by “THE” creator to rid the body of waist, and there are certain body parts to pro-create. Where is the disorder ?
Who said anything about “body parts” THE Joe? I certainly didn’t. The only body part I even hinted at was the lungs, from which some people hyperventilate when they come within breathing distance of a gay person.
We might have a conversation here about why, in discussions about homosexuality, some of the gentlemen here fixate on a specific act, performed mainly by men and women, sometimes by two men but never by two women.
Because men think with…their brain, right?
Easy, who’s hyperventilating ? The one question I have is, why do we have those in this world who dislike men but want to act like men and why do we have those who act like women but dislike women ? So to add women in this discussion, with women of the same sex it can only be about fornication. Nothing comes from the act except self pleasure. There’s that all important, “SELF” comment.
Hyperventilation doesn’t lead a soul to Hell….
No but Sodomite Sex does !!
So according to Cupich and his ilk all that Holy Mother Church has taught for over 2,000 years was all wrong? Does Our Lord now that??? And we sit around and let these heretics guide our flock instead of running them out of their cathedrals!!!
I think the Archbishop has discredited himself and is not credible. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
I can’t tell you how many Catholics I have seen take communion who are divorced and remarried, nor how many homosexuals. We should be more surprised that someone is daring to propose the official normalization of this widespread present practice than that such a thing could happen. It has happened, it is happening daily. The same thing happened when our national speed limit was 55 mph. I saw a bumper sticker on a car proclaimed, “I Drive 55; Ain’t That the Limit?” It was, but few followed it. Eventually the speed limit was raised to 65 and 70. And countless speeders exceed that daily.
Maryanne, I know from your prior posts that you understand the difference between morally neutral questions of a person’s sexual orientation (heterosexual/homosexual), & what they DO with that orientation. You get that, I know you do. So when you decry seeing a “homosexual” go to communion, I have to ask a couple of questions. 1) Is your gaydar so good that you can tell a “homosexual” just by looking at them? 2) How do you know whether that person is behaving in a morally acceptable way just by looking at them? 3) Why are you looking at other people going to communion and checking off their worthiness or not to proceed? Don’t you have something better to do during Communion? I’m just asking, because the last thing I think when I am…
YFC, I do know something about who is homosexual at my church due to its outreach programs, but of course nobody really knows who is doing what to whom behind closed doors. By extension, since it is okay for abstinent homosexuals to receive communion legitimately, it should be okay also for divorced and remarried Catholics to receive communion if husband and wife abstain from marital relations. Obviously this sort of inquiry is not being made at church these days, which is my point. People self-select, as you no doubt have observed, and not all are in a state of grace when they do.
Maryanne do not engage with YFC, he has evil intentions as most leftists/gays do especially when it comes to the Church. He wants complete acceptance of gay sex by the Church… He will never get, this is why I hope for a schism with the leftist clerics, they can go setup their gay friend false church and indulge in all the sins they want and pretend they are still catholic
This is so simple…If you follow your own conscience and it differs with God’s Word you have set yourself up as god. Go find your own heaven! ( or repent)
No it’s not that simple. You clearly have your own version of moral theology, not catholic moral theology.
Actually you are once again wrong YFC, but I am glad this happened I really hope this leads to a complete split with liberals including Francis who can then be declared an anti-Pope..See YFC its not ones conscience to be followed but a properly formed Catholic conscience, you just can seem to accept that. We can use the Cupich analogy for any sinner who wants to receive communion can’t we and justify..
Welcome to the newest Protestant Church!
Rehash of 1980s seminary theology: I’m my pope, you’re your own pope, as long as it feels good, do it. He bought the lie, and does not realize we fool ourselves, that’s why we need objective teachings.
This synod is bringing to light who is a faithful bishop/priest and who is not. Bad they have been misled and are misleading, good to know who they are.
Continue to pray for the bishops and the Synod!.
I wonder what would have happened to an archbishop that did this in 1955?
Jesus said to the rich young man … there is one thing you lack … And as Scripture tells us he went away “sad.” Yes the young man who in today’s age would be remarkable, having kept all the commandments, went away sad. Because he lacked something. There was that one thing he treasured more than Jesus and his call, and that was his riches. Many in the Church no longer are willing to say follow Him all the way, all the way through self denial and to sanctity, because they have not the courage or conscience for it. If all conscience is inviolable, then the man comfortable with his drug or porn addiction can do as he pleases. There is a way to freedom and chastity and with God it is possible. This bishop has lost his way. If we stop…
It takes MATURITY and OBEDIENCE, to follow Jesus! True “discernment” is NOT for babyish FOOLS, living in sin! Just go tell Jesus, in the Blessed Sacrament, that you and your “gay marriage spouse” are both trying to “discern” the right thing to do! BIG HORSE LAUGH!! Do not waste Jesus’ time, with your crazy NONSENSE!! You already heard it right, the first time! Here it is, once again. Christ said, in the Gospels, for all the ages: “Turn away from sin, REPENT, reform your life, and then come follow Me!” That’s all! Very simple! Cupich, didn’t you hear that??
the holy father john paul ii in veritatis splendor states that the belief that an individual conscience is somehow absolved from sin if it truly believes it is right is ‘deliramenta’, ravings, delirious frothings, echoing popes gregory xvi and pious ix. it was cardinal george who said that he felt his successor would probably die in jail or by martyrdom. he did nott foresee a successor who was not catholic, however.
Michael Voris’ “The Vortex” reports during the synod have been exceptional. I hope CCD readers take a look at his videos. Voris is naming names with the curious exception of the pope himself, who for some reason known only to God and himself is allowing this unholy mess.
In light of Archbishop Cupich’s crazy remarks in subjecting the Eucharistic Lord to profanation, I suggest we grant him the nickname Archbishop Caiaphas from here on out.
Keep praying your rosaries people!
You are a priest.
Fr. Michael, watch it, too much truth, too many delicate ears.
Fr. Michael ….. Speaking of crazy remarks, I’m surprised that you as a diocisian or religious order priest would cite Voris as an authority on anything. The Magisterim has rejected him as speaking for Roman Catholicism.
That’s right, Fr. Michael, too much truth. Keep quiet, now.
C&H, you’ve got your facts wrong. Michael Voris of CHURCH MILITANT has a degree in theology. And further he has NEVER been rejected by the MAGISTERUM of the Church.
In fact right now he is at the Synod (holding Vatican Press credentials) reporting from the Vatican – interviewing Cardinals and Bishops, etc. In the past 6 months he has had videoed interviews with Cardinal Burke, and so many more.
DJ is correct!
“The press release stated, “The Archdiocese [of Detroit] has informed Mr. Voris and Real Catholic TV, RealCatholicTV.com, that it does not regard them as being authorized to use the word ‘Catholic’ to identify or promote their public activities … The Church encourages the Christian faithful to promote or sustain a variety of apostolic undertakings but, nevertheless, prohibits any such undertaking from claiming the name Catholic without the consent of the competent ecclesiastical authority.”
Father didn’t name anyone an authority. And +Cupich is being considered for the part of Caiaphas because, I believe, he was the one who suggested that the Truth should be sacrificed so that the nation could live.
It helps to understand the play, C&H.
Thank you, Fr. Michael.
For the record, I’m a diocesan priest.
I’m not a 100% Voris fan, maybe 90%. But these series of synod reports he is broadcasting are outstanding and superior to the pap coming out of mainstream news outlets, secular and Catholic.
Father, it IS verbal abuse to change someone’s name to demean them. You just should not have gone there.
There is no demeaning when an accurate comparison is drawn for the sake of clarification, Anonymous. Perhaps you should refocus on the verbal abuse of Truth in the statements +Cupich makes.
Priorities, Anonymous, priorities.
Verbal abuse is a sin.
Oh, good grief!
Read what S. Augustine wrote about Pelagius. Your delicate ears would turn crimson red.
Voris is more of an authority on the Church than you are C&H… he is exposing the rot and filth that has taken hold in the Church…
C&H is lying Church Militant was never and has never been rejected by the Magisterium in anyway…only heretical clerics
No organization can use the word Catholic in its name without permission of the local ordinary. The organization was called RealCatholicTV.com and it was asked to remove the word Catholic from its name because they did not have authority to use it. The name was changed to ChurchMIItant.com.
Yet the national catholic reporter carries on with that name despite its heresy…
Yes it does
FrMichael thank you for your comments. God bless you for leading the flock.
Michael Voris of CHURCH MILITANT TV

and Edward Pentin of the National Catholic REGISTER

both hold Vatican issued Press Credentials and are doing some great interviews with Bishops and Cardinals, and reporting on the SYNOD.
(Most of Voris’s are live videos.)
I highly recommend them both.
Thank you, God, for Father Michael.
St. Maria Goretti was only 11 years old yet she clearly understood and followed the path of Jesus Christ. St. Maria Goretti chose to do NOTHING that would offend God. The spiritual rape/obfuscation of the FULLNESS OF TRUTH is NOT mercy because it first respects the pleasing of men before respecting the truths of Almighty God. St. Maria Goretti is still exemplifying the TRUE meaning of mercy because she loved being pleasing to God first. What a gift for the United States to view her sacred relics.

Luke 18:8 I tell you, He will vindicate them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
Hey, is his next move to lay out a pathway to remove the Bible from Church teaching?
Our Lady of Fatima warned the world that if men did not stop offending God that Russia would spread her errors. Our Lady of Akita warned about compromises.
