California State University-Los Angeles got an expensive lesson in constitutional obligations when it allowed a near-riot against a conservative speaker two years ago.
As a result of the First Amendment lawsuit filed against the taxpayer-funded institution, it pledged to follow its own free-speech policy that vows to treat speakers in a viewpoint-neutral manner and remove disruptive protesters from such events.
CSULA’s commitment is going to be tested next week, because local illiberal activist groups under the “Refuse Fascism” banner are pledging to “drive the fascists off campus.”
The target of their ire is Kristan Hawkins, the president of Students for Life of America, who is speaking on “the injustices of abortion” in the LA Room in the Student Union building on campus on Tuesday. Young America’s Foundation is sponsoring the event.
Hawkins is a “fanatical anti-women, Christian-Fascist” whose campus tour is intended to “spew her misogynistic, anti-women poison,” according to the event description for Refuse Fascism’s “CalSt NO! Kristan Hawkins! Resist the Fascist Anti-Woman Agenda!” It continues:
“The anti-choice agenda being pushed by Trump/Pence and their fascist movement is nothing less than preparing for the ground for a real-life “Handmaid’s tale”, with women completely enslaved and subordinated to a patriarchal order. NO! We refuse to accept this! Refuse Fascism will join all who despise this fascist agenda and unite with everyone who recognizes the grave threat to all women – and to everyone – that this fascist movement represents. In the name of humanity, we refuse to accept a fascist America! Drive the fascists off campus AND out of the white house!”
Hawkins is speaking the next day at CSU-Fullerton, and the day after at UCLA. Refuse Fascism has pledged the same action at CSUF – “Look for the black and white NO! signs” – and UCLA.
Young America’s Foundation said in an email blast Wednesday that since the near-riot against Ben Shapiro in 2016 (below), which led to YAF’s lawsuit against CSULA, the conservative student organization has successfully hosted several other conservative speakers at CSULA without incident.
The Hawkins lecture is taking place in the same building where Shapiro and other speakers gave lectures.

ANTIFA=Democrat Party
George Soros funds, encourages and rewards this anarchy. Sal Alynsky wrote the playbook. Hilary and Obama incorporated the Alynsky community activist tactics into their grassroots initiatives. This is the fruit! Why be surprised? Sal Alynsky followed Karl Marx’s playbook on how to overthrow power they socialist-communist tactics. Remove God, remove the rule of law, hire leftists to teach self-entitlement then insight the masses: moral relativism and anarchy follow! California is a “sign” to the rest of this US nation of moral and social implosion which is strategically planned and is a natural result of these plans. Wake up silent majority!
Pro-lifers, show up where Kristan Hawkins is scheduled to speak and don’t let anyone stop her.
They should drive ANTIFA off campus. America needs to hear the pro-life voices on every university campus right across the entire nation. Close to 60 Million unborn baby children have been killed by abortion in America since abortion was legailized by Roe versus Wade in 1973. The abortion of the unborn is the number one issue facing humanity today. Students on every campus across America need to hear those that promote the pro-life message. If America and the rest of the world do not cease the genocide of the unborn they face the wrath and judgement of Almighty God. End abortion now! Adoption is the loving option. Repent and convert! Turn to a God of love and mercy before it is too late. Pray America Pray. Pray Pray Pray!
It looks like the high schools and these colleges, et al, have forgotten to teach that the Bill of Rights applies to all Americans. Why not throw these trouble-making kids (for that’s the word) and send them and the others who aren’t students (but trouble makers) to jail if they cause trouble?
Seems like the legislature should be far more concerned about that than Homeschooling, where I’m willing to bet students know all about the Constitution.
