The following comes from a May 8 Life News article by Carole Novielli:
On April 29, the pro-life group Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust were on the camps of UC Santa Cruz when a pro-choice woman approached them.
Saying that she believed abortion was okay, the woman attempted to destroy the display, yelling, “You’re not allowed to be here.” “F-you – get out,” she says.
Thankfully as others tried to speak to her, she calmed down.
She then broke into tears.
Survivors is asking everyone to pray for her. “We shouldn’t say for sure, but I think it is likely that this poor young lady has had abuse and/or an abortion in her past. If that is the case, she likely, and somewhat understandably, resents men and thinks those who oppose abortion oppress women.
“Whatever happened, she is obviously hurting, and so she deserves our empathy and pity.”
Perhaps.
What she deserves is for a real Catholic priest to be with her, to talk to her about the True Faith. She is obviously a pagan, and perhaps possessed. No, not like in the movies, but in a real way, full of Satan and his message of sexual license and hatred of self-control, sacrifice, and seeking the nobility of salvation.
Does anyone know how the Short litigation is going against UC Santa Barbara? This women may be beyond hope, so try to get her to see a priest, if there is an orthodox one in Santa Cruz.
This is real hate speech, but the pro abortion protester will never be charged with a crime. In fact, I believe the pro life person will be charged instead. Black is white, and white is black, good is evil, and evil is good. This is diabolical disorientation.
They are correct. She is a woman who is hurting. She is cold for the prolife message. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to break down for a true conversion to occur. Lets keep her in our prayers and praise God that these precious pro-lifers responded in compassion and in true charity. St Paul pray for us, St. Stephen pray for us.
Those of us who have been out on the streets, and who have begun to smell like the sheep, know how common this rage and hostility can be to those who present the truth about abortion. We live in dark times and the truth can blind our brothers and sisters with its radiant light. It cuts through the darkness, it stirs up the pain, which is why it is a real calling, a real vocation to speak gospel truth to the unenlightened. Yet, healing can only occur when the wounds are exposed to Christ’s gentle mercy and love. As for ministry by a priest, I believe this organization is not a Catholic outreach, although Catholics and former Catholics are involved to some extent.
