In celebration of the 486th anniversary of the miraculous apparitions of the Virgin of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego, this year “La Peregrina,” a pilgrim image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, began its annual archdiocesan pilgrimage at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Ojai on Oct. 21.
The images of La Peregrina and St. Juan Diego will visit 20 churches in all five pastoral regions of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and will even visit the neighboring Dioceses of Orange and San Bernardino.
The Ventura County portion of the pilgrimage will end Oct. 28, when the images will be venerated during the Día de los Muertos celebration at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, from noon to 4:30 p.m. That same evening, the images will be welcomed at St. Finbar Church in Burbank. The remaining pilgrimage schedule will be released in early November.

There is another person posting on another blog as Anne T. It is not I who who is posting on that blog. I have been posting on this blog for years as Anne T., but to avoid any confusion with the other person, if I blog on here any more at all, I will post as Anne TE.
