Father Joseph Illo, pastor of Star of the Sea parish in San Francisco, said the Easter Vigil Mass on April 11, Holy Saturday.

In his 10-minute homily he touched on the nine readings, saying that the Genesis reading was his favorite, but the one from Exodus where the Israelites passed through the parting of the Red Sea was popular when he was a seminarian.

A 15-second excerpt of the homily:

This year we’ve had to tone down the more spectacular elements of the Mass – no fire, no adult baptisms, no baptismal font, just this holy water font which we’ll bless in a minute, no Litany of Saints, no Confirmations, for that matter, no congregation.
