The following comes from a Jan. 20 email from Operation Rescue.
Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, has been invited by nationally-known pastor, Dr. Jim Garlow, to speak on the topic of the Sanctity of Life at Skyline Church in San Diego suburb of Rancho San Diego on Sunday, January 25.
Newman will preach at both services at Skyline and will discuss his new book, Abortion Free: Your Manual for Building a Pro-Life America One Community at a Time, which he co-authored with Cheryl Sullenger.
Newman is considered an expert on closing abortion clinics through the use of a practical process developed by him and Sullenger over years of ministry. That process involves researching and documenting abortion abuses, filing the appropriate complaints, and demanding enforcement of existing laws.
“We have yet to find an abortion facility that is in full compliance with the law,” said Newman. “State statistics show that when abortion clinics close, lives are saved. In 1991, there were 2,176 surgical abortion clinics. Today, there are 549 remaining surgical abortion facilities and states are reporting the lowest abortion numbers since Roe v. Wade. It is possible to stop abortion, one community at a time, no matter what the political climate is in Washington, DC.”

Troy Newman should take his expertise and courage and invade the Archdiocese of Chicago. He will find Abp. “Smaug” Cupich waiting for him, forbidding his priests from even praying — praying — outside of abortion mills.
And what about other Catholic bishops? You have B. Lynch talking about homosexual marriage (and other things contraray to Catholic teachings on sexual ethics), and more and more the pro-life battleground is being manned by leaders like Troy Newman (and Rev. Walter Hoye). What losers Catholic bishops are showing themselves to be (except when it comes to moving their bellies up the bar, then the “Golden Corral” becomes more important than St. Peters).
Good work by the Syline Church, too. Many evangelical churches do more to advance God’s word than do Catholic churches. But, then, more people seem devoted to Protestant churches, generally, than to many Catholic churches.
