The following is an excerpt from an article by Abby Johnson, CEO and Founder of And Then There Were None and author of Unplanned and Fierce Mercy:
It’s the time of year when photos of cute Girl Scouts flood your social media news feed asking you to buy their famous cookies. You’ll pass them outside your favorite grocery stores and hardware shops.
While the cookies are delicious and tempting, if you care about protecting both unborn babies and their mothers, and even those girls peddling the cookies, you’ll steer clear of the Girl Scouts. They sold their soul to the abortion industry years ago.
Contrary to popular belief, the Girl Scouts have deeply rooted connections to Planned Parenthood and groups that promote “reproductive rights,” which is code for abortion.
When I worked at Planned Parenthood, we had a tight relationship with the Girl Scouts. We had many girls come into our facility for service hours, hours that they needed to count towards their badges and advancements.
While many moms who lead individual Girl Scout troops swear to me up and down they have nothing to do with Planned Parenthood and they only do wholesome and healthy activities, the two organizations are inextricably tied together because of money. Does your troop wear an official uniform? Do you pay dues? Do you sell cookies? Do you have official books? The answer is yes to all of these and money from individual troops goes directly to local councils and GSUSA, which in turn promotes questionable abortion groups and unhealthy behavior.
GSUSA is the largest member of The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), which advocates directly for abortion and reproductive rights on behalf of its members, who are mostly minors. The website GirlScoutsWhyNot.com chronicles in detail the ties between GSUSA and WAGGGS with links to tax filings, screenshots and other documentation. Additionally, GSUSA sends more than $1 million to WAGGGS every year as dues — which each individual Girl Scout pays through their local troops.
WAGGGS also promotes Global Advocacy Champions who will be advocating on behalf of the Girl Guides and Girl Scouts at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Many of these women will be advocating for gender equality and reproductive rights worldwide.
The Girl Scouts have also appeared in campaign ads for Hillary Clinton, a former Girl Scout herself, and lent their girls in uniforms for photo ops. Clinton is one of the most pro-abortion politicians to run for office, never making any qualms about her support for abortion.
Full story at Christian Post.
Another professional prolifer who doesn’t have a real job but founded an organization that leeches off donations. I don’t respect professional prolifers. They’re like professional BLM activists. I don’t respect professional activists of any variety. Get a real job.
And another corrupt octogenarian politician, Hillary Clinton, who smiles while she licks her chops luring children into her den.
How is your approach to the issue working?
Abby Johnson is a mom who has eight children, and she does not work for money. She has a life’s dedication to God, to save the lives of helpless unborn children. She receives lots of persecution and even death threats, for her dedicated work, from pro-abortion activists. Any money she receives, goes right into her work to save unborn babies. Her organization, And Then There Were None, helps employees of Planned Parenthood and similar abortion employers, get out of their jobs, and start a new life. She is is a renowned author, whose book, “Unplanned,” was made into a movie. She deserves your utmost respect.
She is paid. And a story like hers makes a lot of money. I don’t want to burst your bubble but her story did not check out when researched and whichever story is true, they are both out there.
I am glad that she is no longer helping women abort and that she is working to help others do so.
paid– You need to respect all who work for God to save the precious lives of unborn children! Abby Johnson does not work for money. She works for God. Any money she makes, goes to support God’s work to save unborn children from murder.
Why do you think it would be wrong if she was paid?
Many people have been inspired by Abby Johnson’s work worldwide, to work to save unborn children, and to open Pro-Life pregnancy centers. 2021 marks the third year in a row, that abortion was the leading cause of death, worldwide. Long ago, when I was born– there were few pregnancies out-of-wedlock, very few abortions, and abortion was illegal in Ameriica and most other countries. Unwed mothers and poor narried mothers gave up their babies to adoption agencies, if they could not raise them.
Ok. It is not respectful not to pay her.
Abby Johnson’s Pro-Life organization, And Then There Were None, and all her other Pro-Life endeavors– are run on DONATIONS!! Several women in Scotland, Ireland, and other countries, have started Pro Life pregnancy centers, recently, because of reading Abby Johnson’s book, “Unplanned” and seeing the movie. More and more people are opening Pro-Life pregnancy centers, and doing Pro-Life work, worldwide, inspired by Abby Johnson’s fine Pro-Life work! Many unborn children are being saved from a cruel death!
Her charity has an F rating because less than half the money goes to program services.
respect– Regardless of what you may think–Abby Johnson deserves respect for her tremendous Pro-Life work for God.
I think you have respect confused with idealization.
You do not see nor understand a life’s dedication to God for the sake of unborn children.
You do not see nor understand a life’s conversion to God, and total dedication to God for the sake of unborn children. Abby Johnson could care less about money. You cannot understand that. Money is obviously extremely important to you– you judge people in terms of money and materialism.
AJDR- Why the personal attack? You are holding Abby Johnson to a standard that is unfair and contrary to Scripture.
respect just a little– Lent will soon be here. And next Mon., the Senate will vote on a bill to codify Roe vs. Wade, nullifying all pro-life laws in the country, if it passes. Time for all of us to fast and pray, give hours of prayer and hard work to 40 Days For Life in your city, and work hard, to save the lives of innocent unborn children, from death in their mothers’ wombs! Shawn and Marilisa Carney, David Bereit, Abby Johnson, Jeannie Mancini, Lila Rose, Aveda King, Marjorie Dannenfelser, Judie Brown, Fr. Frank Pavone, Janet Morana, Prudence Robertson, the Missionaries of the Gospel of Life, and all others who give their lives in selfless work for God, to save the lives of unborn children– all deserve our highest admiration and respect! And hard work, alongside them, to save unborn children from death!
Looks like I misspelled the name of Alveda King, the niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who does tremendous Pro-Life work for God! Plus, Kristan Hawkins– she does tremendous Pro-Life work also, and her Students for Life of America have come to speak several times, at our church. All of these fine Pro-Life workers deserve our utmost respect! All of them tragically endure much persecution, and even death threats, while doing their wonderful work for God, to save the lives of unborn children!
Poor David Daleiden! He is so young– and has given his life to God, for pro-life investigative reporting work, to save the lives of innocent unborn children. He may end up in prison for exposing the crimes of Planned Parenthood, especially their trafficking in baby body parts. He is a hero. He needs our utmost respect, support, and prayers.
Like most ugly careers, one in abortion pays well. I don’t think being a pro-life advocate can touch that. However, even if it did, saving even one baby from being torn apart in an abortion clinic is well worth it. The bet way to combat abortion is to be actively in opposition to it. We are winning, so it is working.
Not as bad as professional trolls
The Girl Scouts have been infiltrated by abortion activists who teach innocent girls that female empowerment includes killing innocent babies. Now you know that abortion’s tentacles reach into seemingly innocent activities. Don’t buy the lies or the cookies.
The USCCB’s Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth (LMFLY) studies this issue and gave a thorough report back in 2014. Many of Ms. Johnson’s claims are called into question https://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/who-we-teach/youth/catholic-scouting-questions
Thank you Data for that link. Of particular note is this quote: “GSUSA does not use its own membership dues or other contributions to pay for WAGGGS dues. It has also noted that revenue from cookie sales remains within councils and troops. ”
And thanks for that great character on Star Trek TNG!
No, they are not called into question. I suggest every parent click on that Bishop’s (USCCB’s) website, then click on “What is the relationship between GSUSA (Girl Scouts of America)” and “WAGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts)”. There is the problem. The Girls Scouts DOES give money to WAGGS. If you must have scouting, stick to Catholic scouting or Catholic scouting combined with other like- minded groups locally. Personally, I would not give a dime to the GSUSA. And parents need to be involved with their own children in camping, not trust them to strangers.
Next week, the Senate is going to vote on the horrific Women’s Health Protection Act, which is actually an Abortion on Demand act, that would codify Roe vs. Wade, and invalidate every pro-life law in the country– including the Texas Heartbeat Act. Our Church had better get busy and preach and teach against the sin, the horrific crime, of murder of helpless unborn children in their mothers’ wombs.
How dare you self-righteous people would break the heart of an innocent little girl just selling cookies. Buy the dang cookies and encourage her. Don’t bring politics into everything. It’s ruining civic discourse and civil society.
It is, after all, the eating of the cookies, not the buying of them, that is a near occasion of sin :)
Ah…. so… Big cookie and Big Pro life are BOTH Involved!
I KID I KID…
Thank you we could use more humor around here. And kidding is basically my family’s native sport.
buy the cookies– No. Grown-ups need total honesty with children— and to safeguard them against Evil! Do not talk to the little girl selling cookies– she’s too young to understand. Give her a nice smile, and then you must talk as a grown-up to her mother, or Scout leader, and inform them about the evils of abortion and Planned Parenthood, and the Girl Scouts’ ties to that. They should know the truth! Next, encourage them to leave the Girl Scouts, and do Scouting through another group that has no ties with abortion or Planned Parenthood.
Grown-Ups Have a Duty, I accidentally gave you a thumbs down. You should have gotten a thumbs up for sure.
Just say no.
Whoa…slow your roll sport….The Girl Scouts brought in politics…pretty self righteous politics as long as we’re at it. I won’t insult you by searching and posting links for you like I think you won’t actually go and see for yourself. But there’s plenty to read that’s for sure. And there’s plenty of great alternatives to GSA as well including the Boy Scouts ;)….’cause they’re taking girls now. Go figure…Frontier Girls, 4H and Quest Club are 3 great alternatives to GSA and “BSA”
Self-righteous?? Why should anyone pay some corrupt national organization or government and line their pockets to do what they should be doing themself. Our family took our own children and grandchildren and went with other family members or friends camping. It is cheap and easy to buy children’s camping books, knotting books, etc., and parents do not have to worry about molestation or children being given pamphlets by Planned Parenthood. I have not bought Girl Scout or Boy Scout cookies and popcorn in over twenty years after they got rid of their Judeo-Christian policies.
I get where you’re coming from, Anne, and applaud your efforts in terms of providing some level of the samer skill sets that GSA would provide your youngsters. To be honest, I’ve heard similar from family members who make a grand excuse not to attend Mass – “I don’t need to go to Mass, I just go into the forest and wonder about God”. Somehow, they believe that makes those who make comment about the need to attend services feel better about the person purposefully excusing their non-participation. I was a Boy Scout, and when I hear of fathers or families who say, “I can provide the same experience to my sons myself”, I’m taken aback by the fact that for many, it’s all words and no action. A camp out in a camper, hiking a single mile, using gas to make a fire – it’s like saying “I crossed myself, it’s the same as praying”. No, it’s going through something akin to the motions, but doesn’t achieve the same aims. Now, as an older gentleman, I’ve run into those sons, now grown, who explain to me that they wished they had gone through the Scouting journey with their dads, instead of this pastiche of it when they were younger. My sons and a few more of my scouts in my troop became Eagle Scouts, the highest award one can achieve in Scouting, an achievement that goes on resumes, college applications, etc., because only 1-2% of all boys who start Scouting achieve it. They are leaders, more self confident, and KNOW they can throw a pack on with a hatchet, a knife, and some supplies, hike into the forest 10-20 miles, then survive there a few days, then hike back. They value nature, and conservancy of our environment, because of their experiences. They might even be exposed, for the first time in some cases, to God, and maybe even decide to join a church. No, not perfect, they’re young boys growing into young men, learning to be that kind of man you would want your daughter to be courted by… assuming she can hike 10 miles and rough it in the woods on occasion (LOL). Again, I applaud your efforts to state you can provide the same experience and skillset, though I would honestly state that it’s close, but not the equivalent.
I do give to a girl’s scouting group, but I am not going to say which one it is.
As for me, I never missed being in scouting. I socialized enough in other public high school clubs — Latin, Orchestra, Journalism, California Scholarship Federation, Girls’ Athletic Association and Junior Red Cross. We even took archery back then, right here in public schools in California and many other states. I played field hockey, basketball, softball, tennis and another game. I stayed after school almost all the time, then went home and did homework. I later worked parttime after school.
And there was badminton and skating in front of my house and bicycling and lawn crochet. I do not think I have been bored a day in my life. Boys and Girls back then had newspaper routes and other jobs. We were taught from books like “The Little Red Hen” to earn our keep. My daughters worked while going to college. And it was not white privilege. I grew up in a multicultural, multiracial neighborhood. My grandfather was blue color.
I hated girl scouts and was glad when my mom said I could quit but it was not camping. You camp once a year and it is not high school. It is grade school. But they do go up to high school but there was not a troop in my high school.
It is different now-not so focused on sewing, cooking, etc.

Comparing Planned Parenthood as an “abortion factory” is rather like comparing the Catholic Church as pedophilic sanctuaries. Yes, Planned Parenthood does provide abortions. But they also provide for many areas the only medical clinic through which women can be provided needed medical care (or do you simply choose to acknowledge that fact). The Heritage Foundation (a conservative, anti-abortion site) claims that abortion is Planned Parenthood’s billion dollar cash baby (Ref: https://www.heritage.org/about-heritage/mission), whereas LIVEACTION, a pro-life site, claims abortion is about 4% of PP’s business (ref: https://www.liveaction.org/news/planned-parenthood-abortion-4-percent-services-false/). Who to believe? (Notta Bene: note that unlike so many repliers, I at least attempt to give relevant references to most of my claims of fact). The Planned Parenthood equals Abortion every time is an oversimplified exaggeration meant to create an emotional (usually hostile, angry) response. Secondly, be VERY careful about making a single red line from the purchasing of cookies from a young girl as the equivalent of sanctioning abortion outright.
Hmmmm….needed medical care….like breast exams you can do yourself? Mammography/ultrasound exams? Whoops…we lied about those. We don’t provide those but let the public believe we did. What else…high blood pressure treatment and follow up? Nope. Diabetes management and follow up? Nope. Heart disease treatment and follow up? Nope. Pelvic exams and STD/UTI treatments than any hospital ER or low income free clinic that does not offer abortions can do? Yep. Men’s ‘care’ (whatever that is) Yep. Access to contraception? Yep, because, you know, you can’t find that anywhere these days. If the “medical care” PP provided disappeared tomorrow, there are a gazillion other places to find it because it is so basic and ubiquitous.
But if PP disappeared tomorrow, 40% of the abortions in the US would not take place.
So while PP purrs and demurs the whole 4% thing (as if that somehow makes what they do OK) while true (maybe) does not reflect what the reality is.
And why is it OK with PP that they kill five times more babies of color than white babies? They make up 59% of all abortions. And before the economic canard is played, they still kill more even when adjusted for income. That from the pro-abortion Gutmacher Institute.
Don’t drink the Kool-Aide just to service a narrative. It’s tacky.
You are exactly right. I checked for myself several times in my area whether or not the Planned Parenthoods did mammograms. They do not.
}
They give out cheap contraceptive pills and condoms and perform abortions. It is like a revolving door. Ineffective pills or condoms; oops, any baby; back to the abortion clinic for an abortion, then back on the merry-go-round with more ineffective pills, then off to PP for another abortion until the girl finally wakes up or dies from a botched abortion. The Pill and abortion also contribute to breast cancer and other medical problems.
Anne TE please stop providing medical advice. The pill does not cause breast cancer, your own story notwithstanding, and it is not ineffective at preventing pregnancy. And death among pregnant women is much higher among those who carry a fetus to term than those who abort medically or surgically. We may not like those facts, but those are the facts.
Those of us who want to end abortion ought not make things up. Invent false facts etc to support our cause. They will only be found out and it harms the movement.
I suggest people read the labels on those pills as to the medical problems they can cause. I am only alive because I did not take any estrogen, including the birth control pill, on a regular basis. The lady Catholic doctor who helped save my life told me I would have been in deep trouble if I had taken the birth control pill on a regular basis. She refused to give out birth control pills and recommended other methods of spacing children, such as nursing after having a child and Natural Family Planning.
YFC….the pill doesn’t cause cancer? Any breast cancer surgeon will tell you whether he is pro-life or not, that first pregnancy, first trimester abortion is a direct risk factor for breast cancer. Peer reviewed studies published in well known medical journals document that fact. People that depend on that not being known like Planned Parenthood and ACOG simply say the studies are flawed and move on. Surgeons that deal with it do not.
BCP’s are abortifacient and can and do cause first trimester, first pregnancy abortions. Why do you think breast cancer has had such a devastating spike in the last 50 years? And why is it so important to some people that abortions continue unquestioned?
So I take it from the thumbs down on my retort to Anne that they think we ought to lie and make things up. And you wonder why the Church is receding from our culture. Sheesh
YFC– No. You are totally wrong! Birth control pills are dangerous, unnatural chemicals, and can cause many horrible side effects– including cancer! And they are not 100% effective– no contraceptive is 100% effective! Contraceptives are a mortal sin, YFC! Planned Murderhood’s main income source is performing abortions– it is a Big Business, with “sales quotas” of abortions to fulfill, or else employees get fired!
I’m not going there with you all. You want to make ridiculous medical claims without evidence just as you do with COVID vaccines. You lose credibility for the prolife movement when you make these unfounded claims.
We all agree that abortion is abhorrent on its face. We don’t need fake made up medical facts to prove it, so please stop making things up and spreading falsehoods. They damage legit prolife efforts.
Once again the exclamatorially inclined one doesn’t actually read the posts her knee reflexively reacts to. I raised zero questions about the morality of abortions. None. I simply said that in order to combat them, we ought not and need not make up medical disinformation about them. So how do we go from there to her notion that I am completely wrong, unless she advocates telling lies about the medical effects of abortions versus childbirth? Wouldn’t I be totally wrong to tell a lie? Isn’t that at times a mortal sin?
YFC— Here is a “National Review” article, which tells of how Planned Parenthood has abortion Business Quotas for employees to meet– with lots of pressure from their bosses– or else, risk being fired:
https://www.nationalreview.com/planned-parenthood-abortion-quotas-exposed-live-action-video/
You clearly have no problem with killing babies in abortion and with poisoning women with carcinogen drugs (according to WHO pill is carcinogen), so why are you pretending to be Catholic?
Anne TE– Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse has an excellent column today, on “The Hidden Effects of Birth Control,” along with an interview and video, promoting Natural Family Planning. Birth control pills contain dangerous chemicals, that can cause many side effects– including cancer, and even death, in some cases– and the hormonal chemicals also can adversely affect a woman’s brain, and can affect who she is attracted to, in a man. Also, birth control is a deadly abortifacient. And birth control pills, with dangerous hormonal chemicals, also adversely affect the environment You have pointed out all of this and much more, in previous comments. I think people ought to try reading Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse’s work.
Sad – I applaud your effort, but your tome is missing something – it’s called references. You make some interesting statistical points, but no way for us, your readers, to truly check your allegations. You may be very right, or just a bit shy of it. The references should not be from a pro-life or conservative source, lest the bias (which everyone shows, be they right or left in their political leanings) corrupt the validity of your assertions. Care to share?
Here is a beautiful video, “Meet Baby Olivia,” from Lila Rose of Live-Action, a prominent Pro-Life organization. Everyone should watch this video. Michael Joseph Dremel should show it to his class. It should be presented in every school in the country.
https://babyolivia.liveaction.org
Michael Joseph Dremel– No! Abortion is Big Business– and is a huge money-maker for Planned Parenthood– it is their main source of income! Employees are warned to forcefully push abortions– for money!– or else, risk being fired! They actually have business quotas of certain numbers of abortions that employees are required to meet— like sales quotas in any business! Planned Parenthood should be boycotted by all, and forced to completely go out of business! They corrupt children and teens, promoting immoral contraceptives and sex outside marriage for kids– and next, haul them into their centers, when the girls get pregnant– and murder their babies! They are absolutely filthy and Satanic! A total horror, corrupting and destroying a good and decent society! Decent girls and women can go to their doctor, or to a low-cost, morally-decent health clinic, for all their needs. And to a free or low-cost pregnancy clinic, or maternity home, if a girl is pregnant.
I can see your rancor against anything dealing with abortion. But as I pointed out to SAD, you give no references with which a reader might check your statistics and facts, and like I do for my students, I insist any references come from a reliable, peer reviewed and unbiased source, especially if its bias is slanted for one’s worldview. You spoke in the broad brush style, which someone not inclined toward cognitive thinking might construe as fact. You speak of going to other places to meet a woman’s medical and pregnancy needs, but according to FamiliesUSA, “For many individuals, Planned Parenthood is their primary source of care and the provider they most trust with their health care needs. A Guttmacher report found that, among women who receive care from a family planning center like Planned Parenthood, nearly 4 in 10 report that it is their only source of health care. Consumers rely on Planned Parenthood for a comprehensive range of health care services. This includes preventive health care services (such as well-woman exams, breast and cervical cancer screenings, vaccinations, and birth control). (https://www.familiesusa.org/resources/four-reasons-planned-parenthood-is-an-essential-health-care-provider/) . Nota Bene: see how I gave the article’s location so that you, dear reader, can read for yourself?).
From your diatribe one would might think there were hoodlums prepared to grab every decent woman or female child, drag them into a clinic, inseminate them, then for fun abort the fetus. How sad your worldview is skewed by your undaunting belief in protecting the unborn.
Michael Joseph Dremel– There is a list of good books and good reading material on the March for Life website. Books by Lila Rose, Abby Johnson, and many others, are widely available. Since Roe vs. Wade, more than 62 million innocent lives have been lost, due to Baby Murders– many of them committed by Planned Murderhood. Abortion has also been the leading cause of death, worldwide, for the last three years.
http://www.marchforlife.org
FamiliesUSA is pro abortion.
https://familiesusa.org/press-releases/families-usa-another-outrageous-abortion-case-threatens-to-upend-womens-reproductive-health-civil-rights/
kathryn– never heard of FamiliesUSA. The March for Life is a Pro-Life organization, as you may know, that was founded around the time of the Roe vs. Wade SCOTUS decision.
Really! Is there anywhere we won’t go register our objections to behavior. Should most of these issues not be dealt with in the privacy of the confessional booth and not in explaining church and personal convictions. Please take these matters up with your priest, nuns and clergy and not the place where we might attract the faithful to love our church and find salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark– Behavior? Abortion– the senseless murder of unborn children, by Planned Murderhood– is a horror that we all must work to end. Next week, the Senate will vote on whether or not to codify Roe vs. Wade– which will, if passed– nullify all Pro-Life laws in the country, that protect poor, helpless unborn children.
I will have you all know that the girl scouts have been selling their delicious cookies in the narthex after Masses at my parish for a few weeks. They did a lot of business too. We have a parish girl scout troop and boy scout troop. Nobody has a problem with it, and we pray for an end to abortion. The two have nothing to do with each other. You want to drive the Catholic girl scouts away from the church? We have enough problems. Welcome them and show them they are valued.
One– Many Catholic parishes today, have Scouting troops that are completely separate from the regular Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Their Scouting groups are a totally different organization, sponsored by the parish. Is that what you are describing? Please clarify this, and let good Catholic families know more about what your parish is doing.
Hillary: one sick cookie.
Girl Scouts of the USA is proud of its 100-year relationship with the Catholic Church and is pleased that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has on its website the following resources: Questions and Answers About Girl Scouts of the USA and About Catholic Scouting;
https://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/who-we-teach/youth/background-on-gsusa-and-usccb-conversations
my– the USCCB website does not support the Girl Scouts at all. They have only a resource on their website, for local dioceses and parishes to use– as you listed, in your comment– to inform Catholic clerics and parents of their recent USCCB study, several years’ long, because of the concerns about the Girl Scouts’ ties to groups like Planned Parenthood, which teaches and promotes promiscuity, birth control and abortion. The USCCB advises clergy and parents to make careful decisions on Scouting. Many parishes have ended up making their own Catholic Scouting programs, teaching kids Catholic beliefs, even earning badges for different religious projects, related to the Church.
The USCCB says it is a local decision. There is a page on the Girl Scouts website about their relation with the Catholic Church.
It is not forbidden for a Catholic girl or boy to be in Scouts.
Catholic schools can have Scout troops.
Catholic scouting groups do not promote promiscuity, birth control or abortion.
Girl Scouts have Catholic badges as do Boy Scouts.
I am not promoting them.
The truth gets lost some times in all the activism.
my– Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts have been tragically corrupted in their leadership by organizations that teach and promote promiscuity, feminism, birth control, abortion, the LGBT agenda, and transgender gender agenda. It is a horrible thing, for a group like Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts to have any ties at all, with such evils, and it is very wrong to give money to these kinds of evils. That is why many good Catholic parents, and Christian parents of other churches, have decided to leave the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and go with trustworthy Scouting organizations for their children.
GSA = Girl Scouts of America = Gay Straight Alliance. Coincidence? Nope.
Please leave your homophobia at the door
Here are two excellent Pro-Life websites– LiveAction, run by Lila Rose, and the Ruth Institute, run by Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse:

http://www.ruthinstitute.org
For those of you who are claiming that the chemicals found in contraceptive pills are Class 2 carcinogens as listed by the UN’s WHO-yes you are correct. But if you check that same list ethyl alcohol is on there as well. If one consumes alcoholic beverages-even in moderation-he is consuming a Group I Carcinogen as well. Look up IARC Monographs for more details.
In 1990 & 1991 one of the finest male trauma and breast surgeons in California took a small cancerous tumor from each side of my chest with the help of a Catholic female gynecologist. They both told me anything with chemical estrogen in it, including any birth control pills, would make my type of tumors grow faster.
]
About 19 years later I got another small cancerous tumor on the right side and that surgeon, from a different hospital, told me that tumor was estrogen sensitive too. How dare men like YFC who have never gone through such surgery, tell women like me that the Pill is safe.
Anne I am truly glad that your cancer seems to have been found early and that you are cured. Yes, most breast cancers are estrogen sensitive. That is why the standard treatment involves drugs that eliminate the ability of the body to make its own estrogen. And yes the pill is I’ll advised for such women. But estrogens do not CAUSE the cancer. They promote its growth once there are mutations that cause the cancer. Women taking the pill have about a 30% higher probability of discovering breast cancer than those who do not. And the risk returns to normal after she stops taking the pill. More evidence that the pill accelerates any cancers present but does not actually cause the cancer. Again I am thankful for your health.
I believe the breast cancer epidemic started in the1940s when women were encouraged to bottle feed instead of nursing, and the birth control pill has only added to the problem. My maternal grandmother had seven children, nursed them all, including one grandson, and never got cancer. Lived into her seventies. Similar situation with my mother-in-law. Some of their descendants, who did not nurse or were on the Pill, did get it, and some very early. The La Leche League is now encouraging women to go back to the natural habits of nursing and spacing children in natural ways without chemicals.
Doesn’t matter. Birth control is a mortal sin. And birth control pills are baby killers– abortifacients! Double mortal sins! No birth control. Self-control. And Natural Family Planning.
My comment of Feb. 25 at 12:01am, was a reply to “WHO facts.”
That train left the station long ago.
What YFC (Your Phony Catholic) and some of the others advocate is what is called “Trannie Science”. Nest they will be telling us that men have monthly periods.
Correction: Next they well be telling us ……….
You might consider the morning after pill to be N abortifacient. But regular birth control pills are not. Again, appeals to fake science harm the pro life movement. Just say no.
Doesn’t matter. They still cause blood clots and other serious medical problems in women, but we all know you don’t care whether women live or die.
YFC and others– Hormonal-based birth control pills often cause early abortions. And the birth control pill prevents implantation of the fertilized egg. Here is a good article on the subject:
https://www.hli.org/resources/abortifacient-brief-birth-control-pill/
Endocrine disruptors are a threat to the environment
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7139484/
The residue of the birth control pills flushed down toilets and from the production of some plastics is deforming the fish in some areas because it is getting into our waterways. I can only imagine what chemical hormones used to try to change the sex of children and adults are doing to them and the environment. Then these same people, using or selling these hormones, say they are so concerned about conservation. What a laugh!
