Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 1:15 AM By Catherine Good choice Susan G. Komen Foundation! Cecile Richards says, “It’s hard to understand how an organization with whom we share a mission of saving women’s lives could have bowed to this kind of bullying.” Look how blinded Cecile is to make that statement. Cecile Richards cannot see that others find it hard to understand Planned Parenthood’s real mission of bowing way, way down to bully and murder baby girls as well as baby boys. Is murdering millions of baby girls what Cecile Richards means about a mission to save the lives of women? This deceitful type of murderous logic deserves to be investigated and stripped of all funding. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 4:28 AM By Irene ‘A mission of saving women’s lives’….seriously? I wonder if Cecile Richards ever sat with any of these ‘saved’ women, who after realizing what they have done, fall into deep despair and depression. I remember when my daughter became pregnant at 17, and Planned Parenthood jumped right in to ‘help her fix the problem’ – she decided she wanted to keep the child and perhaps put it up for adoption. (Planned Parenthood were gone as fast as they came). She ended up having a miscarriage, and though she grieved the loss of her child, she can rest in the peace of knowing she chose life. Until we see each of the unborn as a living being, we will always have people like Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood right there, waiting to ‘fix it’. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 4:44 AM By Dottie Someone needs to ask Richards how many women have lost their lives since 1973 in legal abortions, or become sterile, or committed suicide, or had mental health problems due to their abortions. Someone needs to ask Richards why she thinks women have the right to murder others – approx 53 MILLION since 1973. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 5:19 AM By Abeca Christian Planned Parenthood has many hypocrites working for them! They talk about bullying, well guess what? You have bullied the pro-life movement for such a long time now, we have learned from your great example! How does it feel now. Maybe you are more concerned with your income base that may have to be cut due to lack of funds. Be honest with yourself and state the real reason you are displeased, because lady this has nothing to do with bullying! Abortions do cause breast cancer! Research backs that up! |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 6:19 AM By robkphd I am sorry to say that it appears that the Komen group is allowing local groups to continue to support PP. That is the case here in Orange County as reported by the OC Register. So, be careful before anyone cuts a check to the Komen group. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 7:57 AM By RB2 Well this is good news. I admonish everyone to not go recommending or donating to this or most other ‘Charitable Disease Causes’ in this culture of death. For even if they are not aligned with Planned Parenthood, most or nearly all fund embryonic stem cell research. Komen funds embryonic stem cell research . Do not give to ‘Charitable Disease Causes’ unless you know otherwise by looking it up. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 9:29 AM By Bud I used to make monthly donations from my checking account to THE SIERRA CLUB. Upon finding out just how much they support the abortion/planned parenthood industry it took my bank to stop the deductions when I couldn’t. Public charities should not be able to support other groups (charities) without very public disclosure. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 9:31 AM By JMJ Everybody should read the statement from Komens very slowly & carefully as there has been far too many lead-ins by pro-life groups that are misleading (even the one above is not quite true) as Komen IS NOT stopping all of it’s donations (that is given to them by others) just as robkphd mentioned. Komen denies that they support embryonic stem cell research, which could be true. When the day comes that Komen will accept the fact that the pill & abortion both can cause breast cancer & GET COMPLETLY OUT OF BED WITH “pp”; then I will get excited, but, not until then. +JMJ+ |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 9:32 AM By Life Lady WooooHooo! Great news yesterday, I was very happy about this. The libs on the blog sites were coming unglued at the idea. Lots of crabby posts there. Just too funny. They were soooo unhappy about the CHOICE that the Komen Foundation had made. Funny how they don’t like choice when it’s not THEIR choice. But we will all have to see whether the Foundation is truly thinking about women and the good health of all, as they must also support the studies out there which support the fact that the pill and abortions are truly linked to breast, and ovarian cancer. If they are truly looking for a cure, the pill is a primary killer of women. The effects of abortion are also linked to breast cancer. Wait and see, and don’t forget to pray for them, the people at the top of the Komen Foundation. They will need the light of the Holy Spirit, and the courage to speak out about what is truly the cause of cancer in women regarding their true reproductive rights, which is that women have the right to be fully informed of the dangers of the pill and the consequence of abortion. |

Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 11:28 AM By k Nancy Brinker, sister to Susan G. Komen and CEO of the Foundation has issued a statement to clarify their new grant policies which have been “mischaracterized.” The policy review was done to make sure that their money goes to the most effective places that provide mammograms. No current grants are being pulled. Current grants are not effected. They will never bow to political pressure and the scurrilous accusations are hurtful to all in their organization. News reports today indicate that donors have contributed almost as many dollars to Planned Parenthood since the anouncement as the amount of the Susan G. Komen grant. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 12:54 PM By Elizabeth Further 22 DEMOCRATIC politicians including some from CA such as Barbara Boxer have written to Komen and are putting the pressure on to continue funding Planned Parenthood. Hang on to your limited donation money, so we can unseat immoral politicians with it. Yes, I’m a cancer survivor. |

Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 1:51 PM By MD I read about this yesterday and I am pleased that Koman has pulled its support for PP. The article I read yesterday had a PP representative who was trying to say that now PP will not be able to save lives through cancer screening. Wow, how they deceive. They are under investigation now because they receive public money for breast cancer screening, but as we have seen through various independent investigations, PP refers breast cancer screenings to other facilities and concentrates its energy on abortion, sterilization and contraception. It is the Federal Government that has to keep from funding PP. God Love You. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 3:28 PM By Robert Bushlow Thank you Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation for having the integrity to stand against bullying tactics of Planned Parenthood. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 3:46 PM By Tracy I was outraged when I read articles yesterday on pro-life sites which encouraged people to now “enthusiastically” start donating to the Koman foundation. Nowhere in the press release did I see where Koman was now going to come clean and admit to covering up the credible studies they have all along known clearly link breast cancer to abortion. Unless Koman does this, they clearly continue to be a fraud and a danger to women, Planned Parenthood funding or not! What I am now encouraged to do is to be even more careful in checking out who I will send my pro-life dollars to. |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 5:43 PM By Elizabeth Everyone – Please also remind others that PP DOES NOT have any mammogram machines, NOT EVEN ONE in all of the United States….the breast exam they do is a ‘level one’ I am told, and what that is, is what all women can do at home themselves……Women’s health, baloney!!!! |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 10:49 PM By Kenneth M. Fisher robkphd, 6:19 AM, I believe that they are using already allocated funds that will not be replaced when they are gone. God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher |
Posted Thursday, February 02, 2012 11:50 PM By Abeca Christian The reason planned parenthood is blind to it’s demons it is because it violates and embraces the seven capital sins, well at least most of them, which are, correct me if I’m wrong, as I am going off of my memory: Pride, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth, Envy, Anger or Wrath. Seven capital virtues are and to counter evil vices: Chastity, Abstinence, Liberality or generosity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, and Humility. |
Posted Friday, February 03, 2012 9:01 AM By Anne T. Watch out! This seems to have been nothing but a ruse to get money out of pro-lifers and others. The Susan B. Komen Foundation reversed its decision to not give money to Planned Parenthood. They say they are giving it to Planned Parenthood for breast care screening, but the Planned Parenthood places in most areas, if not all, do NOT do breast screening. They might refer to other places, but they do not do it themselves. Luckily I and some others did not contribute to them until we saw that they were actually going to do what they said. They did not do what they said they were going to do — defund Planned Parenthood. |

Posted Friday, February 03, 2012 8:05 PM By k abeca, almost got them all. Instead of abstinence, it should read temperance. |
Posted Monday, February 06, 2012 11:38 PM By Kenneth M. Fisher I was hoping that I would be wrong, but I pretty much knew there would be reversal! God bless, yours in Their Hearts, Kenneth M. Fisher |
Posted Tuesday, February 07, 2012 11:09 AM By Abeca Christian k thank you for the correction. : ) Appreciate it. Temperance is a beautiful virtue, one not to forget. |
