On June 16 at 1:30 pm Pacific Time, Archbishop Cordileone invites you to take ten minutes to pray the Litany of Reparations against abuses of the Most Blessed Sacrament (via Zoom). The Archbishop will be coming to us straight from the USCCB meetings in San Diego. Singers from the Archbishop’s Schola will assist in elevating our prayers.
We learn from Christ’s example that God gives us this great gift: He permits us to make reparations not only for our own but for the sins of others in this disordered world.
Just a few days ago, a friend sent me a photo of the blank space after thieves ripped out a tabernacle in a Brooklyn church, desecrating the Eucharist: https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/30/us/brooklyn-catholic-church-tabernacle-stolen/index.html/
With all that is happening in the world and the sacrileges being committed, Archbishop Cordileone invites you to join him via Zoom to chant the Litany of Reparations in Honor of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The Archbishop’s Schola will assist.
Chanting the Litany together with the Archbishop brings a profound peace to me, and I believe it will to you too.
Register now to receive the Zoom link for June 16, the great Feast of Corpus Christi. We need to go to our loving Father and ask his forgiveness for our own and others’ neglect of the great gift of the Holy Eucharist.

I already signed up for this. Now, I also wish the Archbishop could institute a strong catechetical program, in all his Catholic schools, and require all teachers to take the Oath of Fidelity. And ask all pastors and all parish priests to do something similar. No immoral nor heretical teaching, preaching and activities. No “Pride” activities for kids in youth groups. No liturgical abuses. No “Pro-(abortion) Choice” or “Pro Gay Sex/Marriage” allowed. Follow Our Lord, Who loves us and died for our Salvation.
A few months ago, parishes in our diocese dedicated four Sunday homilies to the importance of understanding the Real Presence. Apparently a staggering number of Catholics have no concept of, or do not believe in, the actual Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. If so many believe our Eucharist has no meaning other than symbolic, then it is understandable that politicians who actively encourage the grave sin of abortion would have no problem presenting themselves at the altar to partake in this “symbol”. It also means that bishops who would permit the Eucharist to be demeaned in such a way would also be accessories to this grave sin. Lay Catholics sense this hypocrisy and are becoming increasingly disillusioned by it.
The link doesn’t work for me to register ?
I hope the good Archbishop included in his list of sacrileges against the Holy Eucharist the sexually abusing priests and the Bishops and cardinals who covered up for these priests who violated the innocence of many young children. These same clerics always considered themselves worthy enough to receive our Lord.
