The following comes from a November 7 Live Action News article by Luke Faulkner:
In the most recent 40 Days for Life campaign, pro-life volunteers across 36 countries helped save 676 lives from abortion.
From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Adelaide, Australia, people gathered in unity for prayer and fasting as they helped spread the message of life-giving hope.
“Sometimes, when we’re praying on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood, we might wonder whether we’re having any effect,” one of the Pittsburgh 40 Days for Life volunteers said. “Well… we had a save today.”
Expecting mothers are looking for options other than abortion, and indeed, 40 Days for Life has an effect on women looking for help.
A young lady seeking an abortion at the Pittsburgh Planned Parenthood was changed forever when she came out holding an ultrasound image of her baby. With three volunteers praying outside the facility, the mother walked up to them and shared why she changed her mind on abortion.
“I went in for an abortion today, but decided not to. The people in there are not of God.”
If there was any doubt of the hearts and minds changed during this 40-day campaign, this mother’s story puts that to rest.
Not only were women changed by the love these volunteers had for them and their babies, but people passing by the vigil were also changed.
“Because of you being here, I learned the truth,” one passerby told the volunteers.
And just as the women are appreciative of the volunteers who helped save their babies, so too are the volunteers of the amazing campaign 40 Days for Life has to offer.
“What a great feeling,” one of the Pensacola 40 Days for Life volunteers said. “Thank you for getting me involved in this effort and making a positive change in my life.”
Since 2007, 40 Days for Life has saved 12,472 babies from abortion, helped 137 workers quit the abortion industry and closed 74 abortion facilities.

I know the feeling of being just one person on a cornor with a sign until others come up, too, with their signs. God bless all of you. I could not get out there this forty days, so you filled the gap.
Even if it is just one single little baby, it is s blessing. Thanks be to God.
