Dear Pro-life friends,

Because certain people are trying to block the efforts of sidewalk counselors to save mothers and babies from the horrors of abortion, we are keeping the dates, times, and locations of where we are counseling confidential. The notes below may come from one or more locations during the week. Some specifics have been omitted to protect the identity of people we counsel.

A short time ago one of the sidewalk counselors was able to talk with a young woman who was being dropped off in front of the abortion mill. The young woman was very friendly and told the counselor she took both days of the abortion pill and was bleeding really bad over the weekend. She went to the ER and was told the baby was alive with a strong heartbeat.  She told the counselor she was going to get checked again. The counselor told her it was no coincidence that they met as there was help awaiting her if she chose not to end her baby’s life.

She told the counselor if the baby was alive she wanted to keep it. Two of the counselors offered to take her to get a free ultra sound. She remained hesitant and was wondering where her boyfriend was as he was parking the car. She decided to go into the abortion clinic. In the meantime the counselor talked with the boyfriend who was agitated and insistent she get the abortion. She came out one hour later and was told it would take another hour before she was seen. The counselor offered to take her to get a free ultrasound and she agreed. She did not want her boyfriend to know she left.

During the ultrasound she could see her 10 week old baby! The baby looked healthy with a strong heartbeat. She had a look of awe, but in the back of her mind she knew she had to get back to her boyfriend. She appears very much in favor of wanting her baby because she said it was like a miracle, as she did not think she could get pregnant. She was told she could live in a safe home throughout her pregnancy and she took all this knowledge with her.

This dear young woman needs our prayers as her boyfriend seems borderline abusive. Let us all say one Memorare for this woman and her baby that Our Lady during this month of May will bring this little miracle of life into the world.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

God bless,
