Dear Pro-life friends,
A 17-year old girl pushing a 9-month-old baby in a stroller approached the abortion center. The counselor gave her some materials about the risks and side effects of having an abortion, and showed her a picture of what a developing baby looks like at 6 weeks. She immediately began to tear up, and the counselor then showed her a fetal model at 12 weeks. The girl did not know how far along she was, but it was early in the pregnancy.
The counselor asked her if she was in a serious relationship with the father of the baby, and she said she was, and that they would likely get married. Pointing to the 9-month-old baby in the stroller, the counselor said, “I know how much you must love your baby. You will love the baby inside you just as much, you just haven’t met him yet. I know you couldn’t imagine anything bad happening to your young child. Don’t let them hurt the baby inside you.”
The counselor told her that if she went through with the abortion, she would always wonder about the little baby brother or sister that should have been there for her first child, and that an abortion could haunt her for the rest of her life. She revealed that her boyfriend wanted her to keep the baby, and her mother would support her decision either way.
The counselor explained all of the help available to her through several pregnancy resource centers nearby, and that her family would be there to help her. She admitted that if she had to have a surgical abortion, she probably could not go through with it. However, it seemed to the counselor that she thought the abortion pill wasn’t “really” an abortion, or at least it wasn’t as graphically abhorrent.
The counselor explained how the chemical abortion was just as horrific, and showed her again how well formed her baby actually was at only six weeks. She said she was going to go in to have a test and see how far along she was. The counselor told her to follow her heart, and that he would pray for her.
She came back out about an hour later and said she chose not to have the abortion.
Please pray for this young woman to continue to have the strength and resolve to give life to her unborn baby.

She came back out about an hour later and said she chose not to have the abortion. Deo Gratias… please pray for all the women who have had abortions so that they may embrace Christ’s mercy… I know too many.
